This 2.5-hour countryside experience will give you an authentic look at rural life in Ireland as you visit a working sheep farm in the Connemara mountains. At the family-run farm, you’ll find more than 200 free-roaming sheep and lambs, and farmer Tom will welcome you and kit you out with outdoor gear and footwear.
Along with his trusty sheepdog, Tom will give you a herding demonstration, followed by a look at shearing during the summer months. You’ll take a scenic walk through the farm grounds and try out bog-cutting, a centuries-old method of harvesting peat. You could also get the chance to bottle-feed a lamb.
