Wonderful location just outside the town but walking distance so quiet. Great service and staff very accommodating. We really enjoyed using the pool sauna and steam rooms after a day sightseeing. I liked the live music in the bars, the choice of restaurants and the interesting shops. I got some lovely birthday presents while l was rambling round the town. Westport House and grounds are lovely, although the House is closed for renovations temporarily. Westport is a good base also for other interesting places in Mayo. All in all, good in any season.

Westport is a small town but has everything traveller could wish for. Loads of great bars and restaurants. Independent shops abound. There s s lovely atmosphere at this time of year. The locals are very friendly and it is a pleasure to visit. Close to the town are wonderful beaches and the village of Louisburgh nearby is also well worth a stop. Finally Westport is about an hour's scenic drive from magical Achill Island.

Westport is a charming picturesque bustling Irish town situated in the West of Ireland and central to Connemara and Atlantic Way. High quality pups and eateries with traditional Irish flair, great for foodies and coffee shop lovers alike. Traditional Irish pubs with Irish music overlook the town square and the old bridge which crosses the river where fly fishermen cast their rods. The local people are friendly and welcoming.

Lack of entrtainment meant we had to travel into Wesport centre each night. As a result we booked in for a 4th night into a hotel in Wesport centre, Wesport, very compact town, great shops, restaurants and bars. Brilliant location for sightseeing in and around the area. Need to be careful driving in the centre as new type crossings are not clearly marked and many visitors wouldnt realise they were pedistrian crossings. Croak Patrick, Knock, Leanne -The Field and Kilgarry river cruise were great visits.

Friendly, welcoming host who gave us lots of good tips and advice on seeing the local area. Lovely continental breakfast. Amazing views of Croagh Patrick from breakfast room. Beds very comfy. Shower powerful and hot. Room is compact but you have enough room and there's plenty of storage space. Complimentary swimming pool and sauna/steam room in another hotel is part of your stay price, which was very good and not overly crowded, even on a Saturday.

We had an exceptional stay in the Westport Plaza Hotel. The hotel was ideally located in the centre of Westport. There's free parking on site. The hotel staff were all very helpful incl. Boris on reception. We felt very safe with all covid precautions being undertaken. Our room was very comfortable & spotlessly clean. Great options for breakfast & everything was cooked perfectly each morning of our stay.

Location was great, right in the middle of town. The hotel has installed two sets of windows on the front and our room had double paned windows on the side to cut down on outside noise. It was effective. Could open the side windows to let in the cool, western Ireland air.
