A little stuffy and older but charmingly adorable. Dinner was the first time vegetables were not overcooked of all my meals in Ireland!

Staff were lovely, food amazing 👏room was lovely
Toilet flooded twice during tge night, I lifted the toilet back to manual flush otherwise tge place would have been destroyed. I told staff when checking out and put towels down incase it happened again without someone noticing. Apart from that our stay was lovely.

The chalet we stayed in at Kingstown House was adorable! Vaulted ceiling, kitchenette, full bath and shower. One big bonus for us was a nice visit by "Ed Sheeran," the orange tabby cat they call "Irish Ed!" Bridget and her daughter Stephanie were so nice and enjoyable to talk with. The chalet was spotlessly clean and stocked with a wonderful continental breakfast including pastries, bread, jams, juice, fruit and coffee/tea. We slept so well and would definitely return!

Patrick and Heidi are the ultimate hosts! The location is ideal, right at the base of the castle and within easy access of town. The rooms are immaculate, the breakfast delicious but the real gem is Patrick. He makes you feel like family right away. He does all he can to make your stay comfortable and entertains guests with his rye humor and genuine warmth. We highly recommend Rockville House.

Quite simply there is a dearth of accommodation in this part of Ireland. And pricing is optimistic and enthusiastic. It is difficult to think of any particular reason to visit unless you have a specific purpose in mind. I visited to advance genealogical research- with some success.

The Hotel is very pleasant and quiet despite being fully booked. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Food is without fault. Tipperary Racecourse is well worth a visit and of course The Glen of Aherlow is not to be missed!

Visited a number of towns and villages around the hotel, unfortunately most of the places we visited had a lot of closed business. We also found it strange that a lot of businesses do not open on Mondays.

a great base to stay in. 40m for Limerick city, 1hr to other great attractions.
We had our food in the hotel we stayed at, but should have went elsewhere.
We would avoid the hotel we stayed in.

Ballykisteen Hotel was very good (as always) and our visit to the beautiful Glen of Aherlow was terrific. We had a wonderful meal in the Aherlow House Hotel. We were really looking forward to our annual visit to Tipperary Races. However the pandemic has had an adverse affect on the racecourse with restricted access and a big loss in atmosphere. Facilities are greatly reduced and we were disappointed with our visit (for the first time I must add!)

On recommondation from the host we visited The Glen of Aherlow, highly recommended, with its stunning scenery and spectacular views there were also walking trails to avail of for walkers or to just be in touch with Nature, for a spot of lunch we headed to the near by Aherlow House Hotel, having been blessed with amazing sunshine we were able to avail of their outdoor terrace with uninterrupted breathtaking views of the Galtee Mountains
