Mallow a good place to base yourself if doing a touring...
Mallow a good place to base yourself if doing a touring holiday in Co.Cork. Train station gives good access to Cork city. Blarney Castle only 20minutes away by road . Also a short road trip to Charville. Mallow Town Park is a hidden gem, well worth spending time exploring it!

I didn't have too much time to see around Mallow on this very short visit. I had lunch at the hotel one day and breakfast the next morning. For my evening meal I visited my neice and her family in Ballyclough.

Small not a lot to do but has 1 amazing restaurant Park 83 fantastic food, value for money, service, ambiance, attention to detail & attitude. Very friendly & can’t do enough for you. Places like this are few & far between in Ireland!

We made a last minute decision to go to the Mallow races which is a short drive from the Dutch Tulip so it was perfect location! Donal even went out of his way and dropped us to the racecourse. Donal and his staff were so accommodating and friendly. This place has all you need - Lovely bar area, restaurant, plenty of parking, massive beer garden, lovely comfortable bedrooms. Ted shared so much with me about himself, his family and Ireland over the short time we had tea. Breakfast was delicious. Ted was always offering to help with something.
