Leixlip is a small town, very friendly but Leixlip Manor was not up to scratch. We found a nice restaurant in Leixlip as the Leixlip Manor had no food for evening meal although we were advised it had. It was very disappointing,
We were thankful we only stayed one night.

Hotel is in great location for liffey valley shopping centre. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and evening dinner was good. Down side was bathroom shower hose sprayed out water went out onto floor. The sink stopper didn't work and also the toilet didn't flush very well. Had to put curtains up on window sill so the heat of radiator could get out.

Pretty little Irish village just outside Dublin iwth strong links to the Guinness family. Lovely walks along the river Liffey and countryside with plenty of pubs and dining options. Only 1/2 an hour by car from the airport, ferry terminals and Dublin City. 2 train stations with journey to Dublin also about 1/2 an hour and good value plus decent bus services. Liffey Valley shopping complex is also nearby. Overall providees the best of both worlds for a city/country stay
Grainne saved my life that day, mine and my tourist's too!;) We had no rooms to stay at the nearby hotel, and I found her place which is located in the same district - I love Leixlip neighborhood, it's nice and peaceful there, far away from Dublin crowd!:) And so was the lodge! Apart from that, as I had no place to go, Grainne let me stay - as she had no more apartments available - at her own house! Amazing hospitality!:))
We did not have adequate time to fully explore Leixlip. However, it seemed like a nice area along the banks of the River Liffey, at the reconstructed site of Arthur Guinesses' first brewery (1756), complete with beer garden & sports bar. The first room that we were assigned was in need of a more thorough cleaning. The second assigned room was much better. Comfortable beds...it was all good.
Comfortable, clean with lively staff. The rooms were well appointed and noise was non existant which made for a very peaceful night's sleep. The staff were obliging, efficient and thoroughly pleasant and compared to prices in Dublin, Leixlip was great value for money. I would recommend to friends and family without hesitation.
We enjoyed our stay at Leixlip Manor Hotel. Our room was in the courtyard and not the main building. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable . The water was piping hot too.
The gardens were lovely and we enjoyed sitting out in them.
The hotel was close to the town and convenient to walk to other bars and restaurants.
Nice and clean, easy walk distance into Leixlip, comfortable room. Bottled water supplied, nice touch. Bathroom/shower very nice. Beds comfortable. Quiet hotel, no noise from pub or nightclubs. Very nice breakfast, great variety of food all nicely cooked and presented.
Spacious room, cooked breakfast with selection from a menu. Bus stop to Dublin nearby. Private car park behind the municipal car park (behind Spar). Barrier opens automatically when entering. Code needed to exit.
EVERYTHING! Amazing, unique accommodations. Great location. Castletown, Leixlip, Maynooth… all beautiful and charming. Dublin… just a half hour away. We loved this place for so many reasons and highly recommend.
secluded and has a characteristic you’ll find nowhere else in Ireland! Makes you feel like you went back 200 years back in time! Nothing like this ever experience and if you have a chance to book don’t hesitate!
Very little to be honest we booked with booking.com in good faith having stayed twice before and loving it to arrive to a hotel being refurbished. Should have been informed before arrival or booking .
Excellent venue with an interesting history. The restaurant atmosphere was upmarket without being pretentious. Central location in Leixlip village made it easy to walk to other venues and landmarks.
A very elegant and charming room. The property was beautiful, and the staff were amazing. It was a short drive from Dublin, and a fantastic place to get out of the city and unwind.
Impossible to find the entrance to car park.
I was driving up and down the road for ages
But once I found it the hotel is lovely. Staff very friendly. Clean and warm.
It’s a nice hotel outside of Dublin yet only 15-20 minutes to the airport. Comfortable beds, large bathroom and fun outdoor area. We would stay here again.
