Rathbaun hotel in Lisdoonvarna is the perfect destination for discovering the famous "Burren Region" on the "Wild Atlantic Way".

Great team and a great location - didn't realise there was a festival on, but I was contacted straight away after booking to tell me the situation - great service

The ladies at the front desk were so very accommodating and very friendly.
The food in the hotel’s restaurant was unbelievable delicious. Our waiter had recommended a couple of his favorite dishes. We were blown away as to how good the food was. Thank you for a great experience.
Located in the heart of Doolin and established in 2019, Fiddle + Bow Hotel is a boutique hotel with a range of room options. We will be your home away from home.

Lovely spot. Great walks close by - very quiet and wonderful hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble! We arrived after a long day travelling and our rooms were so quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Delicious local produce.
This country house hotel has a quiet location, looking out over the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. It has free parking, luxury rooms and an award-winning restaurant.

This property is unique and it is surrounded by natural beauty. We loved the warm, personal attention from the staff, which includes a tour of the property. The food is the best we’ve had so far in Ireland.
Built in the Georgian period in 1736, Aran View Country House stands on a hill on the coast road and commands one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline.

It was close to major attractions. The caretaker Sharon was helpful and available for any questions.

We would have stayed in Doolin if we would have known there wasn’t traditional music as advertised at our hotel. It was the whole reason we stayed there and the music was in Doolin, not Lisdoonvarna.
The tourist economy is extremely competitive. Tourists want to see quaint and experience attractions in the short time they are traveling through a community. It’s expensive for a city to provide those kinds of things that demanding travelers want. Perhaps a regional travel organization can increase collaboration among communities to set the stage for regional success, not just success for Doolin.

Did not explore Lisdoonvarna itself too much but it would have been worth a day or two, just too much other stuff pre-planned. Was a great base to the Burren, Doolin, Cliffs of Mohr, Aran islands ferry.

Live music at the Ritz, however all the large hotels were shut to the public as they were being used to house refugees. Absolutely no problem with that use but they surly could allow the public access to the restaurants coffee shops etc as without this there were only limited facility in the town.

Considering that it is a tourist destination, it is quiet shabby I thought. The town coucil (like many others in Clare) should consider a factfinding trip to the likes of Westport to see how a tourist town SHOULD look like.
The "What would you recommend Lisdoonervarna for" sectoin is challenging "Its central position in North West Clare and the roads out of it" was not an option..

We went for the festival which we went to every year before Covid and I am sorry to say it was not as it usually is. All of the hotels were closed which was a major disappointment. Thankfully the Ritz still serves great food but the Matchmaker bar which is usually excellent was closed along with a lot more.
I am afraid we will not be going back and this saddens me as the festival was usually hopping.

We loved Lisdoonvarna.
We loved Lisdoonvarna. The town is small but lively and we really enjoyed the Ritz House Hotel. First, they were very kind, with free Wi-Fi available in the bar. We had an excellent dinner there, with great food, service and atmosphere. We wished we had booked to stay there!
We used the trip as a point for visiting the Aran Islands from nearby Doolin. This worked very well and we had a wonderful day out there, in the care of Doolin Ferries.
I was travelling with other two friends by bus through main tourist sites in Ireland. Initially we didn't know where to stay, but when we saw the Greenlawn Lodge was an option, we booked it without hesitating! It was the best choice ever! Excellent location, beautiful house and rooms and, last but not least, amazing staff - Everything exceeded our expectations! Patricia was super kind, made us feel at home and gave us the best recommendations for our stay. Thank you so much Patricia & team! We had the best time with you :)
Beautifully updated rooms (think HGTV shows!). As a family of three we were pleased to each get a twin bed when other stays had a double and twin. Check in was easy, parking lot out front was good. It was nice that there was a bar on the ground floor that attracted some locals so that was fun after a day of exploring Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher. Close enough to Doolin for pubs and music and the ferry. Price for two nights was better at the Ritz than actually staying in Doolin.
great location , the hotel was really clean and well kept . The staff were lovely . On the second evening we were there I got a call that my 4 year old was in A&E with a broken arm and the lady at reception couldn’t have been nicer and refunded us the cost of the second night which we totally weren’t expecting . all in all a first class hotel and service
Greeted at check in by John, who took the time to show the room and explain the amenities available. Delicious traditional Irish breakfast cooked by his wife Anne, with options for cereals, fruits, cheeses, yogurts. John also recommended the best pub in Dingle for food and music. Close to Dingle, but far enough to avoid the tour buses.
This was our second time to stay here and we weren’t disappointed. The owners and the staff just make you feel so at home. The hotel is spotless and very comfortable. And the breakfast is one of the nicest you will get in any hotel in Ireland.
The Town house was wonderful for our family holiday, it was clean and spacious! We had lots of room for granny and grandad and our little family.
Lisdoonvarna was a central spot for lots of day trips around Co Clare!
We had an amazing stay!
The hotel is in a lovely little town and is family run. I cannot overstate how welcoming and friendly everyone was. They made you feel very well taken care of and almost like you were part of the family.
The apartment was super spacious and well appointed. We were impressed with the comfort of the beds and the linens. It was conveniently located, and walkable to local restaurants and pubs.
The location was fantastic, a perfect Irish countryside setting. It was the best breakfast we’ve ever had at a B&B. The room was comfortable and very clean. The host were quite welcoming.
Quality sheets, bed and breakfast. Helpful landlady. It’s best to have a car as this is a little bit out of the downtown area. The plants and trees were beautiful. Nice and quiet.
Very good location, good price deal, very friendly owner, the tavern downtown made us have the best evening during our Ireland trip so this is thumbs up!!
