Natives very friendly. Great walks and places of nterested. Good service in local bar - Salmon leap. Also St Mary's GAA facility bar and entertainment very good.
Where we stayed staff not welcoming or helpful. No communication.
Weather bad but nothing can be done about that.

Leixlip is a small town, very friendly but Leixlip Manor was not up to scratch. We found a nice restaurant in Leixlip as the Leixlip Manor had no food for evening meal although we were advised it had. It was very disappointing,
We were thankful we only stayed one night.

Hotel is in great location for liffey valley shopping centre. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and evening dinner was good. Down side was bathroom shower hose sprayed out water went out onto floor. The sink stopper didn't work and also the toilet didn't flush very well. Had to put curtains up on window sill so the heat of radiator could get out.

Pretty little Irish village just outside Dublin iwth strong links to the Guinness family. Lovely walks along the river Liffey and countryside with plenty of pubs and dining options. Only 1/2 an hour by car from the airport, ferry terminals and Dublin City. 2 train stations with journey to Dublin also about 1/2 an hour and good value plus decent bus services. Liffey Valley shopping complex is also nearby. Overall providees the best of both worlds for a city/country stay
Grainne saved my life that day, mine and my tourist's too!;) We had no rooms to stay at the nearby hotel, and I found her place which is located in the same district - I love Leixlip neighborhood, it's nice and peaceful there, far away from Dublin crowd!:) And so was the lodge! Apart from that, as I had no place to go, Grainne let me stay - as she had no more apartments available - at her own house! Amazing hospitality!:))
The hotel was luxury. The staff and the bedrooms were five star .The staff and breakfast staff were very accommodating .The food was first class . I will in the future return again.I recommend this hotel as a great visit if you want to visit Dublin . leixlip is quite near to central Dublin and a bus service is right outside the door.
The location is perfect!!
The bar food & drinks are reasonably priced & really large portions. The breakfasts was amazing and so much to choose from...we stayed for 2 nights in room 312 & it was huge with everything we needed!!! We would highly recommend this hotel, the staff are so welcoming 😍
We were there twice in a week (we used Dublin as a base to fly to Spain and Berlin). The first time we were in the gardens and we loved the room. The second time we were in the main house and the room as SPECTACULAR. The grounds are well kept and it was a great stop before flights.
The Hotel was really lovely. Very cosy. Food was beautiful, both dinner and breakfast. However, it was the staff that made it exceptional. Very friendly, attentive and efficient. Also nice to see that they all seemed to enjoy their work.Lovely happy atmosphere.
Breakfast offered excellent choice including fresh fruit and even VERY good homemade porridge which is not often found in hotels nowadays. Location could not have been better.....even had view from our window of beautiful pony in adjacent field.
EVERYTHING! Amazing, unique accommodations. Great location. Castletown, Leixlip, Maynooth… all beautiful and charming. Dublin… just a half hour away. We loved this place for so many reasons and highly recommend.
secluded and has a characteristic you’ll find nowhere else in Ireland! Makes you feel like you went back 200 years back in time! Nothing like this ever experience and if you have a chance to book don’t hesitate!
My room was quiet and comfortable. The restaurant was nice. The hotel was near to the town center and across the street from the airport bus. The town was great and I enjoyed my time there.
It’s a nice hotel outside of Dublin yet only 15-20 minutes to the airport. Comfortable beds, large bathroom and fun outdoor area. We would stay here again.
Lovely hotel with lots of history -Arthur Guinness connection. Rooms lovely overlooking river. Bar and restaurant good. Big outdoor bar area with heating
