I lucked into the very best and largest room with private en suite. The owner was quite sweet and helpful when the host’s promise to help me get around without a car, fell through. It was newly renovated and the bed was quite comfy. The area is gorgeous and I loved the historical home and the fact that it’s a working dairy farm with lots of sweet cows to see and visit and sheep and babies and all. There was also a tv in that room. It’s a quick drive to castle Leslie if you have a car and are in town for a wedding there as I was. Also loved the many windows and gorgeous views of the lake from my room. Truly breathtaking.
