Nice quiet town but enough for you to do if you are only staying a few days, lovely walks and a great playground for kids and castle Anderson is only up the road. People are nice and friendly and the food was lovely everywhere we went but Bedrock Cafe stands out as a place we would visit again, good proper food and decent portions 😊

We had an agenda for visiting Belturbet; which was visiting family there of Grandparents who had emigrated to New Zealand at the beginning of 20th century. Having said that the countryside and Loughs are very scenic. The town and surrounding areas are full of history. Plenty of fish in the loughs for course fishing. Ideal for boating.... and the people are so friendly in the Seven Horseshoes.

Arrived a little later than I expected Friday evening to a warm welcome, well run accomodation, very comfortable, very clean, enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the conservatory over looking Ardan lake watching the birds feed on the feeders before a days pike fishing only a few minutes away. The room was large, spotless , warm and the bed was a dream, all with a lake view. The breakfast was done to individual taste ...something I've never had before and was absolutely perfect.
