Monaghan is a very busy town with some lovely dress shops and men shops. Nice coffee bars and place to eat - food is lovely and plentiful!. We noticed there was no litter anywhere.
A very enjoyable visit and would recommend The Meadows - very clean, nice towels every day, etc.
We ate in the Westenra Hotel.
Very easy to get around Monaghan.

Guesthouse was fantastic.
Guesthouse was fantastic. The lady was extremely pleasant and helpful. We were given a room upgrade and a delicious breakfast. We were meeting up with friends for dinner in Monaghan. Our meal in the Batch Loaf restaurant was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Monaghan is what it is.
Monaghan is what it is. A pleasant town that can be easily explored on foot with some nice restaurants and shops. Have stayed there on three occasions because of family events and will return again, but only for a family event.

At the suggestion of the hosts, we visited Castle Leslie one afternoon. We enjoyed it immensely. It’s a “must see” place to visit! (Paul McCartney and Heather Mills we’re married there a few years ago.) Monaghan is a beautiful county. We’d like to explore more of it another time! We‘ll be back again! 🇮🇪🍀😊

We had a good meal at The Squealing Pig.
We had a good meal at The Squealing Pig. However. the centre of Monaghan was disappointingly drab and limited in choice. We were keen to go to the nearby Ross more Forest Park but could find no helpful signs.
Pauline was a great host who made sure we were comfortable and had anything we needed. The house is lovely the rooms are very spacious and comfortable with lovely views. Quick drive to Monaghan town and Castle Leslie wedding venue. Pauline was kind enough to drop us to the castle for one of our events and taxis were easily available in the area also. Pauline made a lovely breakfast and specially bought me dairy free milk for coffee.
Exceptional house and property to stay at right outside town of Monaghan. Great breakfast and hostess provided ideas for places to visit. She is knowledgeable about local music scene and live music in pubs in Monaghan area. This is the place to stay at for wonderful hospitality and true Monaghan experience. I’ll be booking Lynster house stay again!
The owners were very accommodating and flexible with our arrival time. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was perfect. The stay suited our needs perfectly. 10/10
If you’re looking for a nice place for breakfast/brunch we’d also highly recommend the Screaming Bean in the town centre 10/10
On arrival the staff were very polite and welcoming. The room and ensuite was very clean. The only thing that was disappointing was the hair dryer. The hotel is located in the centre of Monaghan and Monaghan itself is a lovely friendly clean town with unique shops.
Very convenient from Dublin.
The hotel was spotless and the staff I noticed were constantly busy cleaning around.
There's a lovely foyer when you walk in and with a nice separate coffee shop.
Rooms were spotless also.
Within walking distance to the town
The properly location was good for us… approximately 10 to 15 minutes to Monaghan town. We were able to cater for ourselves with a kettle and microwave and the was a range of utensils available. The facility was homely and clean.
Excellent location within short distance of Monaghan town centre. Quiet location.
Friendly hostess who offered us facilities for a coffee on arrival. Tasty breakfast well cooked and presented.
Lovely room with excellent facilities. Martin was very welcoming and breakfast was delicious. Great location across from the cathedral and a short walk to the town center.
great location not far from Monaghan town. very homely and welcoming. our host Liz was just fantastic. She’s a lovely person and has loads of knowledge of the local area.
