Breakfast was lovely. the Doolittle restaurant excellent , however the pygmallion was too big and noisy for us so we changed restaurants on the Sunday night for this reason but the Doolittle was really nice .

I love Caherdaniel.
I love Caherdaniel. The beaches are amazing and once the sun shines you could be anywhere in the world. Even without the sunshine though the place is fabulous and I can sit and watch the sea for hours. Derrynane beach is great for walks and right at the end of it is a fantastic house in the shape of a boat built into the rock. A fabulous sight to see. I have so many fond childhood memories of Caherdaniel, it's a beautiful area full of amazing beaches and walks. I try to go back every chance I get. I love going to Daniel O'Connell's house, and walking the grounds. The tour is also worth checking out for any history fans. You really need to have a car to travel around the area, or a bike and a fit body to ride it. We ate at the Blind Piper which was very nice, but there are a number of other places within driving distance.

Derrynane beaches and trails absolutely magical. Great for kayaking, cycling and hiking. Swimming was fab water so clear and sand so clean. Very picturesque. Derrynane gardens plants amazing Limited for places to eat or drink. You need your backpack

Beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, convenient shop, wonderful restaurant in O'Carrolls Cove, easy drive to Waterville for additional cafes and restaurants and bars, this is a beautiful part of Ireland, scenic, friendly people, unspoilt landscape, horseriding, watersports, Derrynane house and beach, Derrynane hotel, Glenbeg beach, plenty to see and do, if you want to experience Ireland then don't miss this area.

Despite it clearly being an older building, the inside of the hotel was very clean and tidy, the staff was lovely also and sorted us out with a late dinner upon our arrival. The dinner was spectacular I must say. Probably the best veggie burger I ever had, the toppings slightly deviated from the menu description, but honestly i think that made it even better (i.e. iceberg lettuce instead of rocket). I absolutely loved every bite. The bed was super comfy too.MartynaIreland
