I had stayed in this hotel in the past.
I had stayed in this hotel in the past. Location is good if you want to get on the N6 but it is in need of updating. To be fair, work has commenced but needs to continue. Staff were fabulous and helpful but some areas need up grade. Breakfast ok but could be more varied. Rooms very clean but part of hotel very dated. I look forward to returning when work completed.

Lucan is a beautiful place for a holiday... Lovely village by the river with friendly people, cute cafés, restaurants, artisan bakery, fruit and veg shop, Centra shop, amazing park (St. Catherine's) and walks, very central. All Dublin tourist attractions within half an hour's drive. Plenty to do whatever the weather and whatever you are interested in.

We primarily went to see family who live there, so didn't do a lot of sightseeing. Lucan Village very nice, with the river. For children, a nice adventure playground at Griffeen Park.
Easy access to Dublin - we went to the Aqua Centre and the Zoo.
Didn't eat in Lucan itself (went to family) but plenty at Liffey Valley.

We loved Lucan!!
We loved Lucan!! The Coffee Works shop was perfect for a cup of coffee and a pastry and the staff was super nice. Lots of great food and a gorgeous park with river in the middle. Tiny little village but we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we wanted to. They have three parks, lots of restaurants, and a Tesco down the road for any basics like toiletries, snacks or groceries.
We booked very last minute as a place to stay before our flight the next morning without venturing into Dublin. When we arrived they told us their kitchen was closing in the next 10 minutes so they took our orders right away at check in so we could get some dinner. The hamburger and the fish and chips were excellent! And they served us right in front of the fireplace. Staff was lovely and very hospitable. The property was gorgeous and we wish we had more time to enjoy it all.
Our stay at the hotel was for a short night before a very early flight. Therefore, we were not able to enjoy the surroundings. However, the staff were fantastic. Abby (sp?), Alice, Erica, and Ian all did their job very well. The customer service was exceptional. The bistro and the bar staff were also outstanding.
The building needs some TLC. But it still was interesting seeing the artwork and decor.
Beautiful house, set in a wonderfully picturesque garden close to Lucan. The room was very comfortable with a great bed and good shower/bath. Great having access to the shared kitchen which saved us some money not having to eat out every night. The host is also lovely and it is great to see the work being done on the outbuildings which will when done be a stunning addition.
I loved that it was so quiet and I loved Lucan Village I’d never been but it was a great choice .It was close enough to Dublin and I got my bearings after my flight there . The Hosts are very gracious and thoughtful so I enjoyed meeting Alan and Wellington very much . The bed was so comfortable and very high quality clean sheets . I would certainly recommend to anyone .
It is an old estate being refurbished. Very clean, very well updated, access to cooking facilities, beautiful setting. Easy walking distance to Lucan ( I did not rent a car). I loved my two week stay. Each room had a small microwave, small fridge and teapot.
Yoly, susi and sean are very helpful. The place is beautiful. The dog was a plus, my kids love it. Super close to main highways and nice place to eat. Excellent for families, couples or just a solo trip. 19 minutes from Dublin.
Gorgeous old historic house with beautiful views. A pleasant 15-20 min walk to the bus station. The room was spacious and elegant, and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay.
The quietness of this hotel is unique as its in the heart of lucan. We left our window open all night and not a sound to be heard . You really feel like you are in the middle of the country side .
Room and beds were very good.
Location is good for City Centre. Road outside was a little busy, but the Hotel is set very far back, and has a rural atmosphere to it.
The staff are amazing so helpful. The hotel is very pretty and decor is fab. Restaurant had top class cúisín. Close to all. amenitys. Room very comfortable.
