I was there to attend a wedding.

I was there to attend a wedding. I did not take a car so I did not see much of Clonakilty itself. I think a car is necessary as it is just outside Clonakilty. I did see the sea and beaches from the taxi and they looked nice.

Great town with lots of pride and several fun cultural experiences. The Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitors Center was great. The Clonakilty Distillery is a great tour and tasting experience. The downtown is cute and walkable. The people are kind and it's central to many great communities nearby.

Fab little town, everything is so close together.

Fab little town, everything is so close together. Really wished we'd stayed longer & are already planning a return in the Summer. Didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we only ate in the hotel but the menus of many of the eateries looked great!

Lovely quaint old world charm town.

Lovely quaint old world charm town. Very colourful and clean. Great selection of shops and information of things to see and do in the area. Take the train for a tour around the town for all ages. Lovely location as a base for exploring deeper into west Cork or just relaxing in one of the many beaches in the area. If you get the weather there is no place to beat this part of Ireland.

Fun, friendly town, with lots of cute pubs and really good restaurants. Great taxi service, Nial Johnson has electric luxury cars for regular price, really fun. Dinner at Camus with guest chef, Caitlin Ruth was amazing. You don't need a car, bus goes all the way to cork and past Skibbereen.

    Love the town.

Love the town. Lots of nice shops, bars, restaurants, cafés and little markets unique to the town and excellent just to browse around. Lots of little cafés, outdoor seating and well spaced public seats where one can sit and watch the world go by. The locals seem very friendly as do the staff in all the shops we visited. Seem to really take care of their visitors. Town is perfect to stroll around, very clean and brightly well decorated shops. Public toilet centrally located but unfortunately required coins to operate. These days, many people do not carry coins anymore! One way traffic system through the main street area - not too busy but could be nicer if pedestrianised.

This place is amazing. Located on the main street of Clonakilty. Thoroughly enjoyed the artefacts and pictures decorated throughout the hotel, a real history lesson. There is a snug room on each floor, complete with a library of books. The hotel, thankfully, has a lift. Choose from one of the many eating places on the premises. Hotel is dated BUT this adds to the character of the place, wouldn't want it to change. Like stepping back in time. Breakfast - perfect and the staff were so attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely beautiful property inside & out. the park-like surroundings made it feel so private and relaxing. The cottage was wonderful. The owners have gone to great lengths to create a clean, comfortable environment for your stay. Cottage #4 has a comfortable bed, step-in shower, well equipped kitchen & sofa to watch the large flat screen TV. I enjoyed my stay completely. I just wish I’d been able to use the swimming pool, but it just never happened. The pool & patio area are very inviting.

Superb location. Literally 6m from the ocean at a beautiful beach. Very close to Clonakilty town (5km exactly). Went running there twice and it was very doable, no footpath for the first 3km notwithstanding, traffic was quiet on the route and drivers were patient. People were friendly. Hotel has great amenities on hand. Value for money was tremendous and the place exceeded expectations for sure.

We really enjoyed the family room at the Emmet hotel. It exceeded our expectations in comfort and cleanliness. We appreciated the water and coffee provided in our room. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The day that we stayed there was a farmer's market across the street which we really enjoyed. We had no problem finding parking close by.

I was a bit apprehensive to book The Clonakilty Hotel after ready the reviews but I was glad that I did book it. Room was spotless, wide screen tv, which I didn't expect as I've stayed in more upper class hotels and the tv was so outdated. The bed was very comfortable, I also ate in the restaurant and the food was delish. Amazing location, will definitely be back!

Denis (who ran the restaurant and bar) was outstanding: he even got up very early to open the breakfast room and provide food and drink to us and other guests who needed breakfast at 6:30 in the morning. He was also very helpful with local information. Location was central to the town, so everything was walkable. Parking (on the street) was nearby.

The staff were really helpful, and courteous, any request wasn’t an issue for them. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. They were well stocked with towels, and toiletries. The location was excellent, as it was central to attractions , and amenities, would stay again, and recommend the hotel to anyone.

The most beautiful hotel, with stunning sea views. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing! We had a great time exploring the locality and getting some sea swims in. The scenery is breath taking. Clonakilty is a short drive too with lots there to see and do. We can't wait to visit again!

Really loved how they have decorated the pods and the outside area, so cute! Great facilities in the pod, its more like a mini apartment with a little kitchenette and a good size private bathroom. Bed was comfy and there was a nice area to sit outside as well. Lovely warm welcome from the host too!

Yes it is a little dated decor wise but it’s extremely good value and the staff are beyond lovely and accommodating. It is so well located to Clonakilty town centre and the outside deck bar is such a lovely spot in the nice weather. I would definitely stay again. Bar Food was really lovely also.

In the centre of Clonakilty. Great breakfast. The room was very comfortable and all told, the stay was good value for money. The place has a vibe between a hotel and B&B that is pleasant and the restaurant in the Sugan pub is very good also.
