Headfort Arms Hotel, hotel in Kells

In the heart of the Boyne Valley, family-run Headfort Arms Hotel features an excellent restaurant and relaxing spa rooms. Dublin city center is 1 hour away.

The staff was amazing. I was feeling queezy, and Connor went out of his way to get me real ginger for my tea. Caroline, at the front desk, made us feel as if we were being welcomed home. Even the young men helping out around were very attentive. There were many more people who made us feel so welcome. To add to that, the facilities were beautiful and clean.

2 Bed Courtyard Apartment at Rockfield House Kells in Meath - Short Term Let, hotel in Kells

Offering free bikes, 2 Bed Courtyard Apartment at Rockfield House Kells in Meath - Short Term Let provides accommodations in Kells. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking.

The staff welcomed me and my service dog. They told me about the History of the Rockfield House and were delighted to have us. The serenity and peacefulness of the grounds were exactly what we needed. I loved the big comfy bed, the large bath, the old fashioned bath tub, and most of all the livingroom and all its grandeur and history. It was absolutely marvelous.

Log cabin, hotel in Kells

Log cabin in Kells provides accommodations with a garden and a terrace. There's a private entrance at the campground for the convenience of those who stay.

Edita was very warm and communicative with us from the beginning. The check in process was really smooth and she even helped us get to the wedding we were attending down the road. The space was almost as amazing as she was. I had never stayed in a place like this before and it was great experience. The room was clean and cozy and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay and the breakfast was just what we needed. I would recommend this place to folks who are looking to explore a bit more of the rural side of Ireland. Coming from Dublin for our first two nights, the grass, cabin and pond were magical. Thanks son much Edita for going out of your way to make our visit wonderful, we really appreciate you! A++++

Stayed in the headfort arms for our 12 year anniversary, arrived and was given an upgrade on our room we wore delighted! (we stayed in room 2). The lady at the reception checking us in was lovely very informative and had a laugh with us, I never caught her name unfortunately. We ate in the Vanilla Pod restaurant I'm sure it was called, the food, drinks and service wore lovely. Breakfast was fast and very tasty! Downfall unfortunately for us was our sleep, the windows in the room did let alot of street noise in and possibly heat out as it did get cold even with the rad on full. The pillows in our room wore awful, 4 pillows on the bed 2 of them folded like paper and the other 2 wore like a brick, we didn't get a good nights sleep at all sadly, we also had a coffee machine with plenty of options for tea & coffee but no cups in the room to make any. Due to the lack of sleep I'm not sure I'd come back to stay which is a same as the hotel itself is fabulous.

I would have liked to listen to trad music but there was no entertainment on week nights in any pub in Kells however there was a man playing the piano in the hotel on Wednesday evening unfortunately I didn't know till it was too late he had just finished playing as I walked in the door

Kells is a lovely village, made even more special by its people. Since we were there for a wedding, there was only enough time to walk its cobblestone streets. We stayed and ate at The Headfort Arms, a charming hotel with excellent food and every modern amenity. I recommend Hairitage, a beauty salon across the street from the hotel. Loved the stylists and the outcome!

Kells offers a gateway to our history but learning by visit and adventure. Today we ate, had spa treatments, visited some shops then tourist information, took photos of the major sites, drove to Loughcrew, climbed to a megalithic cairn with chambered tombs, carvings and excellent views. Then we changed, washed before going to have light bar supper which turned out to be quite a full meal then fell asleep much satisfied.

We were so delighted with this fabulous house. It was better than expected, the house is beautifully furnished and all the little detailed furnishings are really special. The owner June had kindly baked us fresh bread and cake for when we arrived and left us supplies for breakfast. The place is very peaceful and the perfect location for visiting our family in Kells. Would highly recommend and will return.

The breakfast was ok. The 2 girls working there were lovely and very helpful. The house and rooms are lovely but if you don't have a car, you are reliant on a taxi. The taxi drive into Kells is only 4 min (10€) but it is not walkable due to the layout of the roads. Lynch's taxi service was great as there was a lady driver who I felt very safe with, especially at night, when travelling as a woman on my own.
