Kilmore Quay is a great fishing village location with stunning picturesque scenery, walks and views. There are a couple of local pubs but it is limited on the evening dinner meal front if you are looking for good quality fresh food - I'd suggest Marry Barry's (who generally provide a courtesy mini bus shuttle from where ever you are locally) Marry Barry's has top notch sea food and other options, simply amazing place, friendly and efficient staff and the shuttle is a great idea. Kilmore Quay is a fab tranquil getaway, not overly built up, not commercialised and an active fishing village that adds to the authenticity of the location. A must for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and simply relax.

Nice location, good for activities. Lovely walks and swims.
Nice location, good for activities. Lovely walks and swims. Some nice food options. We ate at Mary Barry's in Kilmore and availed of a free shuttle there and back which made everything so easy for our group of 6. Dinner was delicious. Accommodation was great for a group too. We stayed in a apartment that slept 4 and studio that slept 2 .

Absolutely loved Kilmore Quay.
Absolutely loved Kilmore Quay. We were last there 24 years ago and always meant to go back. The harbour is picturesque with the saltee islands in the distance. There are boat trips out to the islands which we did years ago. The beach is beautiful. There are cute little gift shops and plenty of choice for eating either take away or dining. People are friendly and welcoming. The thatched cottages are so quaint. There are boats for fishing trips. Kehoes pub is great craic and even in promptu sing along with lovely Laura the singing giggling bar maid. Every single one of the bar staff were friendly and welcoming. The sunset we witnessed was beautiful. Anyone should consider themselves lucky to visit such a lovely place.

Lovely village, really relaxing spot - caters well for tourists without feeling ‘touristy’ or overly commercial.
Easy to get around, lovely beach and beach yoga, fabulous morning and evening swims at the small beach, lovely coastal walk, enjoyed dinner both in Keogh’s and Wooden House, got delicious ice ream at Lickd, spotted the seal in the harbour and watched some crab fishing, joined a beach yoga class on Sunday morning, such a relaxing time in Kilmore Quay

A beautiful picturesque village, lots of stunning views.
A beautiful picturesque village, lots of stunning views. Plenty of short walks around the place. A busy fishing port, so lots to look at, if you're interested in that kind of thing. 2 beaches. one right at the quay where I had a lovely swim...at high tide, though!. The second beach, Ballyteigue, beautiful for a long walk, but I would not recommend for swimming. Overwhelming waves and shale underfoot. No life guard, life buoys present. I feel there should be warning signs about swimming.. Saltee fish'n'chips a must!
The staff were very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The staff dealt with a situation of noise from another guest with efficiency and without either person feeling upset. We visited with a big family for a family celebration, it will now be the favorite seaside location for the further holidays.
It is located in a small quay with a number of local coffee shops, a few nice pubs and shops.
You can easily walk down to the beach or walk along the pier, or do a longer walk along the coast.
Bluebell Cottage is a little gem, situated in a fantastic spot a few minutes walk from the seafront at Kilmore Quay. The cottage has everything you might need and is cosy for just chilling out. While there is much to keep you in the village, the location is excellent for touring and we visited Waterford, New Ross, Wexford and Kilkenny; rich history, endless walking options and excellent cafés and restaurants. Vonnie and Marty are gracious, helpful and friendly hosts. All in all fabulous.
Lovely stay, very nice location and evident work is going into getting all upgraded at this property. The main areas are really nice.
Staff are absolutely lovely and a credit to the premises! All are lovely mannered and very obliging....
Food was really lovely and we ate at the hotel twice, and enjoyed a lovely breakfast also (even without the availability of the vegetarian sausage :) )
Lots of towels and supplies in the room, appreciated this
The cottage was snug and beautifully clean. Vonnie met us to let us in and told us everything we needed to know. She cooked us a delicious loaf of bread too. We knew we could ask for further assistance if we’d needed - but we didn’t need anything. We were close enough for great walks along the beach and harbour of Kilmore Quay and with Mary Barry’s just up the road dinner was sorted too.
Saltees Coast Hotel is the perfect location to stay at while visiting Kilmore. It’s a short walk from Kilmore Quay. The hotel serves wonderful breakfasts & caters for all tastes. Lunch & dinner are served in the bar / restaurant. All food was delicious & the staff were super friendly. We’d highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely Hotel in a beautiful seaside village, food was delicious the young girl in the bar on Friday really looked after us didn't catch her name. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. There's a fish and chip shop in the village their fish n chips were delicious we will be back.
Lovely space, very close to the beach. Even though it right beside host house, there is plenty of privacy. Such a spacious place beautiful living room space to make you feel right at-home. Would definitely go there again if going to kilmore Quay.
The main hotel and pub are really nice, beautiful location and all the staff here is very friendly and helpful. The food was good, I got fresh scallops and cod and they were really well cooked and fresh.
Nice place, clean, central to everything in Kilmore Quay and very comfortable. I found the staff very helpful and friendly and already looking forward to returning.
