We loved our stay at West Cork. We stayed there our first 2 nights in Ireland. Our room had a balcony where we could look out at the town and the river. Breakfast was so good. Not only was there a cold buffet but we could order off the menu. This was included in the price of our room, which was a reasonable price. The absolute best part was the staff. They were all incredibly nice, but I want to especially mention Csaba at the front desk. He greeted us when we first arrived, and was very helpful. I want to also mention Paul Cheung in the bar. Our first night in Ireland, we were tired and very hungry and didn't want to go anywhere. Paul had dinner brought to us in the bar, and I have to say it was some of the best food we had during our trip. Absolutely delicious! Both of these men as well as the breakfast staff and other staff at the front desk were all very warm yet professional and so kind. Thank you!

Absolutely gorgeous, met and exceeded my expectations. Easy to find just off the Wild Atlantic Way, Bebhinn & Brian gave excellent instructions and even had the bed made before I arrived. Got in fairly late in the afternoon so I didn't see Bebhinn & Brian then but managed to catch Bebhinn before I left in the morning.

Very nice location. The lady owner was very friendly and made a fabulous breakfast. The room for 3 is very small but the beds are comfortable and the bedding was beautiful. Thiny bathroom but very clean.
This family-run hotel has a quiet location, looking out over the harbor and the mouth of the River Ilen. It has free parking, a traditional Irish pub and an award-winning seafood restaurant.

Casey’s of Baltimore is quaint and cozy, with kind staff. We had a great nights sleep in the quiet environment and all the food at the restaurant and the breakfast was fabulous.

Very nice, clean room with nice views. Staff was friendly.
It was great. But unless you have "sat-nav", booking.com directions won't get you there. We were using an Eirecode finder on my phone but as we got close, internet service suddenly quit. We had to telephone.

Do visit the art centre and the heritage centre, which has a largeish display about the famine, though it rather conceals the background reasons for why people were so impoverished -- ie, hundreds of years of oppression of Catholics by England. But we both learned a lot. Lough Hyne, by comparison, is not such a big deal. It may be a marine reserve, but there's very little wildlife there. A good place for swimming, however. The Church restaurant is fairly good, but very expensive, like so many restaurants in Ireland (ie, compared with London)

Skibbereen is a surprising pleasure. lovely small but varied high street, worth a wander, with variety of shops. Local Fields worth dropping in for the local produce and cakes. Lovely dinner at The Church Restaurant. Famine museum was definitely worth a visit too. Nicely done- lots of info and presented in a style where you leave sobered but not depressed!

We loved the social life and made the most of the local pubs and restaurants. We especially liked the Church Restaurant and also had a couple of evenings in the Corner Pub.
The Saturday morning Farmers' Market was excellent, as was the range of cafes and boutique shops.
We enjoyed the Heritage Centre and the helpful genealogist helped me locate my living relatives in the town!
Within close proximity of the town are some lovely walks too.

Skibbereen town itself was okay, not many cafe options or restaurants. Grand place to pop into for a few bits. Wouldn't be a place I would stay for a break too busy. Eldon Hotel not up to Covid standards for restaurant service, no face masks or face shields on any staff, sanitizing rushed using same cloth for tables half wiped. Staff on top of each other & customers. Getting around Skibbereen a bit confusing as a lot of one way systems. Not much activity.
The gardens were amazing, it felt like being in a jungle and around every bend was something new to see or enjoy. The hot tub was fantastic and as it was enclosed it could be used in any weather. Although we were less than 10 minutes from Skibbereen town it felt so secluded. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating, the house had so many books, games and jigsaw puzzles so we got to enjoy multiple games of scrabble and the WiFi was great
Christine and her lovely family were the best hosts we could imagine. We will definitely come back the next time we come to Ireland. The cottage was very convenient and cosy. The area is absolutely beautiful and offers many opportunities for hiking, running and water sports nearby. We loved Heir Island, Cape Clear and Lough Hyne. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Great B&B, easy to find in a quiet location only a short drive from the centre of Skibbereen. The room was very comfy and had everything I need for my stay. Breakfast was lovely, there is a choice of cereal, fruit as well as a cooked breakfast. Marguerite is a lovely lady and a great host very welcoming and helpful.
I would definitely stay here again.
The owners were very nice and they let us do late check in although it was stated as 8 pm in the rules.
The place is in the center of Skibbereen with access to pubs, restaurants and in a good place to explore West Cork area. They are serving breakfast in the mornings which you can choose out of some options. Check in and check out were easy.
Kenny and Christine were super friendly and welcoming, the beds were comfy and Kenny helped us set up the tv so we could watch the rugby :D The location was a great base for that area, close to Skibb and Ballydehob and spots like Lough Hyne, Tragumna etc. It was so quiet and peaceful. The cat was super friendly which is always a bonus for me!
I only stayed for one night, as I had an appointment in the area. Having said that. I'd have been happy to stay for longer. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast items in the room meant I was completely independent. I had a good chat with the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. All in all, a lovely experience.
Marguerite was our favorite hostess during our trip. She was thoughtful, gave good suggestions for our time in the area, and the breakfast was delicious. She was very flexible when we changed our arrival time at the last minute to accommodate some schedule changes.
We had a wonderful time at Atlantic House. Kathleen is a marvelous host and makes every effort to make her guests feel comfortable and welcome - she is also a wealth of information about the beautiful area she lives in
Beautiful location, great welcome from host! Stunning views, close to local pub for good evening menu! 10 minutes drive to Skibbereen!
A jewel in the south west !
Will return in the future for sure!
Great location, walking distance to restaurants in the town. Skibbereen was a great base to explore west cork with baltimore and bantry nearby along with loads of beaches.
All buildings were very nice with a mix of classic and cheeky decor. Wonderful staff, view, rooms, lounging areas, and grounds. Dinner and breakfast were great.
I stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and must say that really liked the new bathrooms. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean and had no issue with anything.
