I liked the live music in the bars, the choice of restaurants and the interesting shops. I got some lovely birthday presents while l was rambling round the town. Westport House and grounds are lovely, although the House is closed for renovations temporarily. Westport is a good base also for other interesting places in Mayo. All in all, good in any season.

Westport is a small town but has everything traveller could wish for. Loads of great bars and restaurants. Independent shops abound. There s s lovely atmosphere at this time of year. The locals are very friendly and it is a pleasure to visit. Close to the town are wonderful beaches and the village of Louisburgh nearby is also well worth a stop.
Finally Westport is about an hour's scenic drive from magical Achill Island.

Lack of entrtainment meant we had to travel into Wesport centre each night. As a result we booked in for a 4th night into a hotel in Wesport centre,
Wesport, very compact town, great shops, restaurants and bars.
Brilliant location for sightseeing in and around the area.
Need to be careful driving in the centre as new type crossings are not clearly marked and many visitors wouldnt realise they were pedistrian crossings.
Croak Patrick, Knock, Leanne -The Field and Kilgarry river cruise were great visits.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Westport town centre and local amenities. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast offer is plentiful. Staff work extremely hard to make your stay as enjoyable as it can be and nothing is too much trouble. Particularly enjoyed the entertainment in the Castlecourt sister hotel. Look forward to returning to Westport the near future.
Our stay at Ardmore Country House was just wonderful. We enjoyed it a lot. Our room with Sea View was exceptional, Breakfast was delicious, Staff was very very friendly. We stayed for 4 nights and it was the best part of our stay in Irland. Westport is a nice little town, very cute. Some good pubs and restaurants are nearby to the Hotel.
The hard-working and absolutely lovely staff truly made the Clew Bay Hotel feel like coming home. A great location for walking around the town. Because of older family members, we used taxis to get from/to the train station, and out to The Quay. Enjoyed breakfasts and an evening meal. The room was quirky and spotlessly clean.
The location in the city center cannot be beat. Also, the staff is most accommodating to your every need. The breakfast each morning was made to order and very good at that. The parking down the street was not a problem at all, it took maybe 3 minutes to reach the hotel from the city lot (which costs 2 euro/day).
I stayed at the hotel with my wife. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast is excellent with a good choice for the 3 courses. I really enjoyed the meal and the table service was prompt and timely. The room and facilities met our expectations and I would have no hesitation in staying here again.
We will definitely be back to the beautiful Westport Coast Hotel again. Lovely scenic location. Very close to Westport house which was perfect for walking and sight seeing. Staff were so friendly. Ate dinner in the bar and had breakfast the next morning. Food and service was 10/10. Jenny (Wicklow)
The front desk staff were pleasant and tried to help with the situation, but they really didn't have much power. We
were never contacted by the manager about our concerns.
Breakfast was not up to the standards of the other hotels, and certainly not as described on the menu.
Immaculate accommodation, could not fault it. Extremely clean, super hot water for the showers. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Ideal location for us as we had a wedding in the Westport woods hotel, only 2mins walk. Will definitely recommend and also will return again
Had a lovely stay. Got a great room. Staff very pleasant especially in reception. Bar menu reasonably priced as was the hotel stay.Keep up the great work! Great pool/sauna/gym. Music in the restaurant/ bar that evening. Just a 6 min walk to the main town.
Breakfast is not provided. Patricia, very kind host, she took me to the town, I was like.- where is the beautiful Irish breakfast, I walked into the hotel and walked out Scot few after the fab breakfast! 🤣
Great location in the centre of town, clean comfortable room. The breakfast was delicious with great service every morning. Lovely friendly staff throughout the hotel. Highly recommend 😊
Great location and easy to walk around without needing your car, parking permit from the hotel to park for free, restaurant was nice and staff friendly,
room was comfortable.
