Woodhill House is located just ‘outside’ of the town Adara. Our drive was 3 min into town for dinner. We were there in late winter/early spring. I’m sure the gardens are beautiful later in the season and into summer.
Our host John gave us several ideas for our adventures and was so friendly and welcoming.

So underrated, I would wholly recommend Ardara to anyone looking for friendly, kind locals in Donegal. It’s a quiet town in the middle of the west coast, perfect as a base for exploring Co. Donegal. Nancy’s Pub is great in the evenings; Sliabgh Liag Distillery is a must-visit and Eddie Doherty is a local celebrity with his weaving skills! Reasonably priced Donegal tweed products - much more affordable than the other shop in town. The Courthouse (in the Heritage Center) also does delicious breakfasts and baked goods. The only thing I’d be wary of is walking along the road - the drivers speed regardless of the time of day.

Easy to get around.
Easy to get around. Parking in free car parks or on the street.
Good base for touring Donegal.
Main hotel Nesbitt Arms are taking in Ukrainian refugees so will be closed to tourist accommodation.
The Corner House & other pubs are lively on a weekend night, so it can be noisy on the streets after hours.
Mostly good pub food available - very few restaurants.
A very nice, well-run guest house, within a few minutes walking distance of the centre of Ardara. Irene our friendly host looked after us well, and provided an excellent breakfast with a variety of options. The room we had was fairly small but very comfortable, clean and quiet, There are a small number of bars and restaurants in Ardara, some of which had live traditional music which we enjoyed very much. A good base for travelling round Donegal. Would happily stay here again.
The location is just perfect a few minutes drive from Ardara. The owners surprised me with a gorgeous fruit salad breakfast & also provided cooked porridge, coffee, local bread & jams. The view from this property is just breathtaking it's definitely a hidden gem on the Wild Atlantic way! Photos don't do it justice. the owners are so friendly & made me feel so at home. I can't wait to stay at their property again & I already recommended to many friends
The accommodation is extremely central with free on street parking. Aileen welcomed us to our lovely, clean homely room. We had full use of the kitchen facilities which included a coffee machine, kettle, fridge etc. Lots of food items were also given to us to enjoy over the course of our stay. The generosity and extra little touches meant a lot. We will 100% be back for another visit in the future.
Location was excellent…in centre of town but off-street and very quiet.Property was very tastefully decorated , spacious ….lovely to stroll downtown…Ardara is a lovely town with very friendly people…plenty of coffee shops and pubs… great location for touring….home to tweed….Second time to visit here and we’ll definitely return..
Geraldine was so.helpful and supplied ample variety of food for breakfast etc Rooms were very quiet and spacious and bathroom had generous supplies of cosmetics and towels
Accommodation is in very central situation forsocialising in town without need for car
Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anybody visiting Ardara
A very well equipped modern kitchen and well stocked fridge and freezer. All essentials, bread, milk, cereal, eggs. etc.for a nice breakfast. Small but adequate twin bedroom No3 with ensuite c/w shower,WC & WHB, gel & shampoo provided. In a perfect location for all Ardara has to offer.
Nice restaurant in the hotel. Not expensive. Quantities more than adequate. Quick and friendly service. Not exceptional but perfectly fine. If your intention is to explore the area by foot, not much to see. By car and within 15-20 miles, beautiful beaches and deserted, untouched areas.
It’s a cozy place for family vacation and my family enjoyed that very much. The host Arlene is very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Overall we have a very positive experience and would recommend to anyone staying in Ardara region 😊
Everything about this accomodation was excellant. We have been to Ardara once a year over the past number of years stayed in various places but this was by far the best yet Everything was there that we needed and more.
Great location for exploring County Donegal. Cottage felt like a home from home. Host greeted us on arrival and made sure we were happy with everything. Close enough to Ardara for all our supplies.

Very good quality & clean B&B, Aunty B is very pleasant as are her staff. The house is very clean tidy and comfortable. We spent 3 nights in Donegal. It was the best B&B we stayed in.
This B & B was THE best that we have ever stayed in down through the years, and this includes hotels.
It was spotless, bright and an air of freshness to uplift any soul.
House is within walking distance to the town. Louise was very friendly and provided us with a wholesome breakfast of cereals, poached eggs, ham, cheese etc.
