The hotel is a bit out of the town centre, but perfectly fine for car drivers - once you get used to the multi level one way system! Buncrana is well placed for touring North Donegal County and visiting Derry/Londonderry City nearby in N. Ireland, to where there are no travel or border restrictions. Thought the local ferries were a bit expensive for cars. The local attraction "Wild Ireland" situated near Burnfoot was well worth a visit. And a visit to Ireland's most northerly point, Malin Head, is a "must do" too. Be advised that the famous Slieve League Cliffs are over 100km from Buncrana.

Family break: 2 adults & 2 children. Loads to do, loads of activities and loads to see. The kids preferred Donegal to our week in Spain earlier this yr. The area is beautiful with lovely beaches nearby and loads of things to visit. We will definitely be back soon.

A visit to Dunree Fort is worth a visit.
A visit to Dunree Fort is worth a visit. We didn't visit the museum but did some of the walks which were spectacular. We also ate in the little cafe on site which was very good indeed. Coffee in particular!
Buncrana town is lovely, plenty of shops, bars and cafes. Its a one way drive system.
We ate at Tank and Skinnys - just coffee and cake, but the food going to other tables looked delicious - we'll definitely be back.
We were going to Buncrana festival and this property was perfect for us. It was less than a 5 minute walk to the festival site. The apartment is comfortable and very well equipped. The sofa bed in the lounge was easy to erect and comfortable for my daughter.
Gary met us on arrival and went through everything with us. All communication prior to the visit was prompt and friendly.
We ate in the centre of town before the gig. It is an easy 10 min walk. There was a great pub opposite the apartment also.
Our stay in the Harbour Inn really exceeded our expectations. The staff were fantastic, friendly without being over the top. Our room (family room) was great for my family (2 adults 2 children aged 4&6) very spacious and the beds were so comfortable, but the thing that will make us return was the amazing food. The breakfast was fantastic so much choice and our children loved making their own pancakes! We also ate in the hotel restaurant for an evening meal, all of our dishes we loved! We will be back!
Warm welcome from Jason and his lovely black Labrador Peppa.
Very comfy bed. Lovely view of the sea fromthe bedroom.
Quiet location, and very convenient to Buncrana town, Beaches and facilities.and the heating being turned on for a short period in the evening was a nice touch, even though it was a nice evening in general.
The actual facilities were exceptionally good and the views over Lough Swilly and the hills around Buncrana were amazing. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They served a wide ranging breakfast that was hearty and generous. The bedrooms are very large and more than adequate for the average family.
The Location was perfect for Buncrana, Derry, Donegal town Malin Head and Wild Ireland. Highly recommended the red door restaurant. The apartment was great. Everything we needed host was wonderful. Really nice lady. Highly recommended staying here. Right accross from the beach.
The property was spacious and equipped with what we needed for our stay. We were visiting the area to attend a family wedding, easy to check in.
May benefit from some soft furnishings to help acoustics in the lounge and kitchen.
Elegant decor, warm welcome, and sumptuous place in a beautiful setting overlooking Lough Swilly and close to restaurants and amenities. Marie and her husband offered a smooth and accommodating service.
Such a spacious & clean property. It had all the facilities needed for a family stay! There is a sea & Mountain View. The garden space is perfect for dogs. Secure property with a gated driveway.
great location but loud if it’s warm outside and you have to open windows to cool off. walking distance to restaurants and pubs and lovely shore walk as well. Very close to the ferry!
