Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away. There are several excellent restaurants where you will have unforgettable experiences. The Black Pig and Finns Farmcut are amazing. Breakfast can be hit or miss, The Lemon Leaf and OHK were excellent. If the weather allows the walk out to Charles Fort is lovely, with a pint of Murphy’s at the Bulmans. The views at the Old Head of Kinsale are breathtaking, and Garretstown Beach is stunning. The tour and tasting at Kinsale Mead is fascinating and a unique highlight. Be careful choosing where to stay, as standards are not reflected by star ratings, and the centre can be noisy. Parking is challenging with two hour max at the central car park, better at SuperValu but you’ll need to move your car overnight.

We arrived later in the evening but were welcomed wonderfully. If you drive to the hotel, know that parking is only what you find on the street. Our room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was nice.
There isn't an elevator available so if you are on the 3rd floor like we were, be prepared to pull your bags up the stairs.
Be sure to book a paid breakfast with your room reservation. It was soooo good and one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks. A good breakfast gave us the energy to tackle a busy day.
Kinsale is a lovely town and even mid-week on a foggy fall day, we loved walking around.

Kinsale is a picturesque hilly harbourside town with great shops and restaurants. We had beautiful weather enjoyed walking around the town and took the harbor cruise. There were lots of good restaurants (a few require reservations way ahead), lively pubs, and various take-away food options. We stayed 2 nights, but only had 1 full day to explore the town. The roads into town are extremely steep & narrow, so we were happy to be able to park once at our guest house and not drive again till we left. Taxis are almost impossible to find. We ate at Fishy Fishy (had reservations months ahead) our first night and at the Blue Haven Restaurant & Bistro the second night. The live music was great. We heard great things about the Ghost Tour, but didn't have time for that. Parking can be an issue so make sure your guesthouse/hotel has parking. Stop at the Tourism office for great suggestions.

It is a beautiful village on a bay with an old-world charm. It can be quite busy as it is rightly popular. Lots of local shops, pubs and restaurants, all with an authentic feel. Beside the harbour, their are two marinas, two castle ruins and a lovely beach. It is also near the beginning of the Wild Atlantic Way which runs clockwise round the west coats of Ireland. 25 minutes from Cork airport, this place is a real gem

We really liked Kinsale, it was a trip down memory lane for my 89 year old dad. we went on a private cruise up the Bandon & a harbour cruise which was also great, where we saw Summer Cove, Charles and James Fort and listened to the fascinating history, we had a mead tour which was lovely & really interesting and we brought a few bottles of yummy mead. We did a bit of shopping, lots and lots of walking, scrumped the most delicious sweet figs over hanging from fig trees on the winding paths, and just had a lovely time.
Fantastic location. Right in the middle of the town so it's so close to everywhere. Olivia at reception was a great help with local knowledge and swiftly booked us in. We were in room 4 overlooking the main street, a huge room! Bathroom is small but adequate with a fairly smallish corner shower but met all our needs. The full Irish breakfast was huge! Very nice breakfast area and the staff were excellent.
We didn't eat dinner in the hotel as we preferred to eat out and about in Kinsale but the hotel restaurant appeared busy
Breakfast was the best breakfast I've had in an Irish hotel in a long time, the fruit selection was very good and I really appreciated the honeycomb. I stayed in a family room and the room was a good size, bathroom was large with a separate bath. We were given robes at the pool and were able to use the jacuzzi (not every hotel will let you during covid times)
Hotel was in an excellent location and we found parking space for our motorbikes just outside. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and the Nespresso coffee machine with free capsules was a great way to start the day. We had breakfast in the hotel which was of a high standard.
breakfast everyday was good. early morning coffee, however, requires a trip around the block or down the street. bar area is good. dinner options were adequate, and especially appreciated that dinner on a Monday night was available at the hotel.
Interesting older building. The owner made sure we understood that it was up a steep hill from downtown Kinsale. Parking was around the corner. Owner was very helpful. It was nice to find a small hotel with twin beds.
A nice quiet , clean , friendly boutique hotel in the heart of Kinsale ! The room was comfortable and well appointed , with tea and coffee in a common room just down the hall . Very helpful and approachable owner !
It’s a beautiful pub/restaurant/hotel. The bar was quaint, very local, great staff, lovely food and drinks. Our room was very comfortable. The location was superb. We would absolutely stay again! Thank you all!
Great character to the hotel. Comfortable, warm, great location and the shower was the best shower of any hotel/venue we have ever stayed in. All in all it was great value so 10 out of 10. ⭐️
The location is excellent....right in the middle of shopping and restaurants.....and its host was wonderful. She recommended two of the best restaurants that we enjoyed in Ireland.

Location is perfect - right in the centre of the town beside Actons Hotel, Fishy Fishy and is perfect walking distance to all the main attractions in Kinsale town!
Asolute fantastic place. Iv stayed there once before and I think its my favourite hotel in Ireland. Everything from the view to the staff is top class.
