First of all the buses are shocking , waited over an hour at the airport for a bus to cork city and returning found out they only run every hour !!!
But the city is wonderful , every type of shop you would want , lovely walks along the river and the people are so friendly , will definitely be returning!!

I was there primarily for a convention at the University, Cork itself is a picturesque city with a river flowing through it and many bars and restaurants - however - you do need to accept that food and drink will cost more (although this is a more universal feature of Ireland in general) and that accommodation, even in a guest house, can be pricey.

The good weather helped lot to walk around the city with a baby and we enjoyed pretty much all around. If you go there on weekend remember that on Sunday almost everything open very late and some attractions are completely closed (English market is closed on Sunday).
What a gem of a place! Loved everything about it. The building, our bedroom was gorgeous and spacious and looked out onto the garden..we could open the sliding door out onto it. The dining room was very quaint and the breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly and very hospitable.
We walked down the road to the neighbouring hotel for drinks and a meal which were superb.
I would definitely come here again so highly recommend..Not close to the city centre but for our one night stay it ticked all the boxes including parking on site.
Amazing value. It’s 3 times the size of a standard hotel room… and almost half the price - with all the added benefit of kitchen facilities, a great breakfast bar and lounge. A stones throw from the city centre and UCC. Quiet at night (no pubs nearby). Really an awesome choice to stay, probably the best around for the money. And it was absolutely spotlessly clean, tastefully and neutrally decorated and well maintained (other than the disappointing mattress). I will be back.
Wow this is a stunning apartment right in the City centre and perfect for a romantic break. The apartment has every thing you need and it's finish is like a 5 star hotel. I could have watched the light show from the bathroom for hours😁 Also the little extras like bottled water, tea, coffee And even wine made our stay here one of our best yet. We will definitely be back. 5 stars....
The property itself was more secluded than expected but still in a lovely area. It’s definitely a stay for someone who is not pushed about being in the heart of the city centre.
The staff were also some of the most accommodating, friendly and helpful that I have ever encountered in a hotel. They will go above and beyond and are certainly one of the main reasons I’ll be back.
It's walking distance to city centre so we were able to go out for dinner. Lucky because the dinner options in the hotel were terrible.
The family room was big with a double and two singles. There wasn't much noise in our room - we were at the end of a corridor on the top floor.
The location is very good, 5-10 mins. walking to the city centre. 5 mins walking to a bigger shop. The bed was comfy. The staff is kind, they changed me the bed for a better one. The hostel is better than it was described/evaluated on the Internet. Bathrooms are clean.
Our room was on the main floor. Breakfast was good. Nice hot selections, especially the french toast which was delicious. Location was accessible and walking distance to the Cork City Centre and right next to the Cork University College with their beautiful grounds.
River Lee was our first stop in our two week journey in Ireland. we loved everything about the hotel. Helena from the front desk was super helpful and she ensured she did everything in her power to make us feel welcome. thank you Helena and everyone at River Lee.
Very nice, quaint lodge with a lovely garden in the back. We had a room with a conservatory and it was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts and the staff were great. The lodge is across from a bus stop that takes you into Cork City Centre.
I loved how central this hotel is. We were within walking distance of Cork City centre. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, especially our waitress Megan. Our room was spotless and well equipped.
We liked the location being close to the train station and the bus station. The hotel was cozy, chic, and modern. The breakfast was the BEST we had in our whole stay in Ireland. The waterfall was magical!
It was booked for us as substitute via Booking.com as the original hotel we had booked had to close. Clayton Silver Springs but a bit far from city centre than we like.
Overall a 'Good'.
Beautiful location in woods outside the bustling city of Cork, nice hotel with plenty of style, comfortable room with a nice view. bathrooms were exceptional.
bed very comfy, room was spacious, lots of choice at breakfast, staff very friendly and helpful, close to the Cork city centre, hotel is in a lovely area
