The rooms were as stunning as the pictures shown. The room was large and so well decorated. The awesome nescafe machine was a bonus. The location is perfect for the area. I wish we stayed longer.

Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

We loved Kildare and would recommend, unfortunately it was rather wet so restricted our walking but still enjoyed. The pubs were fabulous, very friendly people, wished it was our last port of call in Ireland instead of the first as there is a huge designer outlet complex and no room to carry all the purchases I would have liked to indulge in 🤪

Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet.
Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet. There’s not a lot of bars and restaurants but it’s cosy and perfect for a quite night away. We stayed in the silken Thomas and ate and drank in their adjoining restaurant the food was lovely cocktails were ok. Would definitely stay again
I found this place by chance, and as an emergency as I needed someplace to stay last minute in Kildare. I was lucky! Very modern and clean room, fitted with my kind of minimalist interiors. Walk-in shower is the best I’ve experienced. Nespresso machine in the room was a treat. The deli/shop downstairs do amazing food too, and I got 10% off because I stayed at the hotel. I even bought the same candles and diffusers that was dotted in the hotel as they smell divine! Will definitely come back!
Kildare House Hotel is just brilliant, loved every minute of our 2 night stay. Hotel is gorgeous and cosy, great facilities, everything on your doorstep. The Gallop's Restaurant amazing, we eat both nights of our stay there as so good, and breakfast same, all gorgeous.
We had the pleasure to meet the owner Kelly also, so lovely and helpful, and runs a fantastic business. We are definitely going back and cannot wait till next time.

The place was exceptionally clean, cosy and Ros was very welcoming.Very close to Kildare village just around the corner you could definitely walk. The little touches like having milk tea coffee bread and treats was unexpected but very welcome. Will be recommending to friends and family 100% great place to stay, couldn't ask for anything better.Nothing was too much for Ros she went above and beyond. Really enjoyed our stay.
From checking in and out. Staff were very friendly, happy, courtesy and helpful. The accommodation was spotless, including the restaurant and bar.The food was very reasonable, good choices and delicious. Breakfast was excellent. Teapots were sparkling.some hotels should take notice. Plenty of staff.Parking is free, which is an added bonus. Will definitely be back. 10 min walk to Kildare Outlets.
Location is great. Lots of pubs around but Silken Thomas pub is the best one around, so no need to move. Kildare village a short 10 minutes walk.
The food in Chapter 16 was beautiful. Both for dinner and breakfast and the staff were all really friendly and professional. They made us feel really welcome. We would highly recommend staying and will definitely be doing so again ourselves.
Property was beautiful, clean and had all the conveniences you would expect of a boutique hotel. Stunning view of St Bridget’s cathedral from our bedroom window. Our room was very cozy and the bed was so comfortable! Everyone who worked there was unbelievably helpful and accommodating. Isobel went above and beyond to make us comfortable.
We had room 12 and was shown around by the owner , she was very plesant and welcoming ,
The room was better than a 5* room we had when we stayed in a 5* hotel in Enniskillen ,
We had bar food down stairs and can not find fault this place is a little gem right innthe town of Kildare ,
We spent our first two nights in Ireland at ‘The Old Goat House’ and don’t let the name fool you, it is so elegant. It was perfect in every way. The garden was a dream and the friendliness with beyond anything we expected
Lovely hotel and rooms, so clean, spacious and comfortable right in the centre of town, walking distance from Kildare outlet. For excellent in the restaurant and staff friendly! Booked for next year already!
Austin was incredibly friendly and was so nice to make us some delicious scones for breakfast. Very nice place with a convenient location as we were on our way from Dublin to the west of Ireland
Very welcoming and friendly staff. The food was excellent. The location is perfect for Kildare Village Outlet. Felt very relaxed and comfortable. Will definitely be back again.
