Excellent friendly Pubs with great Guinness!!

Excellent friendly Pubs with great Guinness!! Lots of great food places to eat ranging form sandwiche bars, Tea Cafes, Italian restaurant, Mitchellin restaurant, and plenty of Takeaways. Unfortunately for us the river trips weren’t on - we will definitely go back to try them!! Lots of places of interest to drive out to - ElFinn, Westport. Also took advantage of visiting a local distillery- fabulous ! The Shed .

Beautiful small town on the banks of the Shannon - immaculately kept and lovely to stroll around. Great ambiance. Great selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. Lovely base to explore Leitrim and surrounding areas. Great walkways in the region.

Beautiful vibrant town with welcoming people everywhere.

Beautiful vibrant town with welcoming people everywhere. The area by the river is particularly beautiful. There are plenty of things to do and see and the market ( if you get the chance to see it) is lovely. The tiny Costello chapel is moving and a tiny gem. Really good range of places to eat and some very excellent ones amongst them. The whole town has a bustling vibrant feel and is a complete delight. It is well located to allow you to visit a range fo places of interest further afield.

The cottage is located near carrick on shannon and longford, the grounds of the cottage are just amazing, the river Shannon goes through it, and guests can fish, and also use the boat which comes with the cottage, there's a picnic bench beside the river. The cottage also has a nice terrace, and a BBQ, inside the cottage is old world style, in keeping with the cottage age, the conservatory is so nice and we enjoyed sitting there in the evenings.

We didn’t stay at the property. The little gem by the boardwalk was disgusting, dated, and did not have anything to recommend it. It was mis sold and I therefore request a complete refund. I understood that the bathroom was an en suite and that we would have some privacy and not sharing the apartment with the proprietor. We had to check into an hotel which cost us €500.00 for the three nights. We await your response!!

Brilliant house, especially for children and a bonus that it allows pets. The children loved the trampoline and climbing frame. Very private with plenty of space for the children and dogs to run about, yet only a 5 minute drive to Tesco and a shopping outlet, and a 10 minute drive to Carrick on Shannon town centre. House quite modern, with a cosy living room. Nice view of the lake. Will definitely return

Tucked away on Leitrim Village high street it could easily be missed at night-time but is more spacious than its outside suggests. It is only 100 meters from the Canal and Marina. Functioning as self-catering during the pandemic it has everything you need and everything is to a very high standard. We very much enjoyed our stay and it proved to be a good base for our 800km of travel. 5*

A friend and I stayed here while we were on a hen weekend in carrick on Shannon. We wanted a bit of peace and quiet away from the town and that is what we got! The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. The cottage was perfect, all the amenities we needed and even a gorgeous terrace area to enjoy a cup of tea before hitting the town. Only wish we got to stay longer!

Air bnb style stay. Room was nice and cosy with all the essentials we’d need for a night away. Located super close to the landmark hotel and only a short walk away from the main bars in the town. Quiet location with secure parking. Private bathroom located just beside the bedroom again stocked with all the essentials like shampoo etc.

Excellent central location in Carrick with shops, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep. The room was very large and clean. It was at the rear of the hotel and very quiet. The communal areas have lots of character.
