Baltimore harbour was beautiful and wild during the storm when we arrived. The next day all was calm and sunny, so we enjoyed the village and it's very nice restaurants.
The vegetarian pizza + fresh fish and chips in Jacobs was delicious.
So was the burgers in the Algier Inn.
There is even a 2 Michelin Star restaurant if you are foodie
We hope to come back during the summer to go whale watching and explore Cape Clear.

We stayed one night basically to stay at a place away from a city and nearer the sea. Quaint town, but did not have time for excursions…ate dinner at a nice restaurant out of town a short way from Rathmore House recommended by the house owner, called An Siben.

Wonderful view of the bay and islands.
Wonderful view of the bay and islands. Boat trip to Sherkin Is. and Cape Clear highly recommended. Please pick up rubbish and loose string as it can damage seagulls.
It is easy to get around except when the town is full!

Baltimore was lovely, it was very clean and the people we encountered in the bar and shops were really friendly. It is really close to Skibbereen which has more in the way of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Casey’s in Baltimore was lovely for a read session and outdoor seating area to take in the views.

The harbour area was lovely above the harbour was hotels & bars where you could sit & enjoy all the comings & goings. Lively night life. great walks around the area. The Beacon is a must to walk too. We went on the Fastnet tour from the harbour a definite recommend. We ate at the Algiers Inn Gastropub a definite treat, great food & great staff, you cannot book a table only down side but worth the wait.
It is a hilly area just to be aware.
Lovely house in close proximity to the centre of Baltimore. Rhianne thought of everything! She helped with transport from the airport, the breakfast was superb with so much choice (and the bread and jam were both home made!), there was home made cake and tea making facilities in the room, my Mum is a little unsteady on her feet so Rhianne opened a different way in for her to make it easier - lots of little things that added up to a wonderful stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Stone House to anyone visiting Baltimore!
I had a fabulous stay in a lovely, spacious cottage between Skibbereen and Baltimore. The property is located about 7 mins drive from Skibbereen, in the country side. The cottage was bigger than I expected, over 2 floors with a large conservatory. There are other cottages in this property. The setting is beautiful with lovely gardens and courtyard. The cottage was well-equipped and the hosts stayed connected with messages checking in if I needed anything. Will definitely be back!
This hotel is a real gem. The welcome we received was exceptional with a glass of cava on arrival in the gardens and real friendliness from everyone throughout our stay. The hotel is beautiful with real character. The food was fabulous - probably the best breakfast we have ever had (served like afternoon tea) and the evening meal was also exceptionally good. Overall we loved our stay in Rolfs.
The place was in an ideal location for us to explore The Wild Atlantic Way. We were greeted with a glass of fizz. The breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked. There was a lounge to relax in and gardens to enjoy. Baltimore is a lovely little seaside village surrounded by some great walks. We visited Lough Hyne and the Heritage Centre at Skibereen which is well worth a vivit.
This was just wonderful. Rianne is a great host and a source of endless stories about the area! We felt extremely at home, and Baltimore and the Stone House are wonderfully picturesque locations to visit. It was marvellous! Oh, and you're really getting spoilt with a choice of beautiful breakfasts here! When we come back to Ireland, we will certainly stay there again!
We stayed for one night in the cosy B&B. The next morning we were served a hearty Irish breakfast and salmon & scrambled eggs on toast, along with cereal, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee. It's about a 15 min walk into the centre of Baltimore town and we were provided high vis jackets to ensure our safety walking along the roads at night.
great location just a 5 min walk into baltimore harbour where all the pubs and restaurants are.
We ate dinner in caseys too which was very nice. The staff were friendly and efficient.
Will definitely be back and its a great place to base yourself if doing west cork.
The hotel is clean and our apartment was decent.
Lovely hotel, right on the Baltimore waterfront. Our ensuite room was spacious & cosy, with an excellent bed and a window offering a panoramic view of Baltimore Harbour. Great breakfast, all staff excellent, friendly & helpful. Restaurant closed (as off-season) but good pub food (steak/fish & chips) at the bar.
We loved the beautiful, peaceful setting, really handy for exploring the surrounding area. The cottage was cosy, bedrooms were super comfy and the bedding was extra lovely. We loved the private outside seating area of our cottage.
This was out second stay at the Stone House. The location is perfect for wandering around Baltimore. The host is full of information and gave fabulous advice for our visit to Ireland. Best breakfast we have had!
Splendid hotel and facilities in a great location above Baltimore. Very friendly and helpful owner and host. Clean and comfortable room, shared lounge, landscaped courtyard and excellent breakfast.
The breakfast was nice, bed comfortable but the location of the "cottage" in relation to the main hotel was very disappointing....down a steep stairway....certainly not what I expected
The proprietress is a lovely, hospitable lady! The house is nice, and just a short distance from the main village. Nice area, great stop if road tripping along the coast.
