Very little choice of places to eat or have a coffee. Tea rooms not open at 11am on Thursday as suggested. Had a fab dinner at Monks and on a return visit next morning at 1130am had great tea n scones in front of blazing stove. Superb.

The hosts were very friendly right from greeting us upon arrival and giving us tips to serving us breakfast before we left. The full Irish breakfast was very good. We had dinner before arriving in Ballyvaughan, and only stayed for one night. We had a car, so it was easy for us to drive into the town centre from there. We would stay there again. We were given tips of sites to see when we left, and one we were glad not to miss was the Poulnabrone Portal tomb.

We only were able to stay one night.

We only were able to stay one night. It was a great launch pad for visiting the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. The people were friendly, the food was great and the pub was fun with local, live music! We recommend it!

The Clare Way is a nice way for walkers.

The Clare Way is a nice way for walkers. There are at least two good places to eat out. Some side roads are in a poor state of repair. Clare County Council need to fill the pot holes and try and keep the roads in decent repair. This includes some access routes to this property.

A beautiful traditional Irish village with all you need for a comfortable varied stay in Ireland. Situated between the stunning Burren and the cliffs off the Atlantic Ocean, and nestled on the south side of Galway Bay, Ballyvaughan is ideally located. There are a lot of places to visit in the area. You can swim in the bay or on the nearby Bishop's Quarter beach. In Summer or Winter there are lovely places to visit and in Ballyvaughan alone, the fabulous Monk's seafood restaurant is a great spot with super friendly staff, a warm welcome and really fabulous food. I cannot wait to go back to Ballyvaughan!

Very friendly reception. The landlady is cordial and willing to provide information. The rooms were spacious, clean and in a quiet location on the Cliffs of Moher. The house is almost in the center of the village. Sea, restaurants and harbor are within very short walking distance. A grocery store for shopping is only 50 meters away. Breakfast was extensive and very good. We would try again to book this accommodation on a renewed trip to this place.

Everything. the location was perfect right across from the pier. the restaurant was really great and the room was amazing. beds very comfy. we didn’t get to explore the town but it looked great. Some nice shops, bars, and restaurants. Right in the Burren so great for walks and hiking although we did not have time for that. Next time we are in Ireland we will be back here and stay at the Monks.

Spotlessly clean with beautifully decorated rooms and modern bathroom facilities. the staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location, only 20 or so minutes drive from the cliffs of moher and other tourist attractions and within walking distance to a couple of restaurants in the village (I would advise booking these ahead of time in peak season)

Cappabhaile was in a beautiful location near to town with some nice restaurant choices. We were giving a very friendly welcome and treated to the BEST breakfast in two weeks in Ireland! We had to skip lunch! The room had a lovely view of the hills to enjoy a cup of tea. The beds were comfy and the room had a lot of space to relax. Overall it was a wonderful stay!

Superb location - within 2 minutes walk of a shop, restaurants, the pier. The view was incredible - the house looks right over the water. Would highly recommend for an intergenerational family holiday, both for the generous-sized house (with ground floor rooms), the location in Ballyvaughan, and the range of activities within an easy driving distance

The rooms and beds were comfortable. The location was in the center of town, and the staff gave us good recommendations for dinner. The second night, we ate dinner at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Live music was provided at the bar that was part of the hotel.

Amazing views of The Burren. Easy to and from the Cliffs of Moher. Very quiet yet close to the dining and pubs of Ballyvaughan. Feels like you are staying at a country estate with rooms full of cozy furniture and knickknacks. Generous breakfasts and spring water top it off.
