We were only travelling through so only stayed for one night, we had room service which was sadly a bit poor, as we didn't eat out I can't comment on restaurants. Loved the Donkey Sanctuary which is close by in Liscarol, well worth a visit.

Staff were friendly, our room was nice and the food at the hotel was nice. A little more attention to detail needed in the room and some minor housekeeping observations in the bar/service areas. Service at dinner in the bar was slow but didn’t put us off eating.

I really liked the look of the town of Charleville.

I really liked the look of the town of Charleville. I didn't have time enough to explore the town properly or visit the Church or shops. Would definitely go again. I ate in the little cafe beside Supervalu on arrival. It was lovely. Fast service, fresh food and friendly staff.

The leisure facilities are excellent and has everything you need from relaxing to working out. However while the room was fine, the executive family room wasn't what I thought it would be. My teenage son and his friend were sharing with us but there was no door between our rooms, so no one had any privacy. But everything else was fine. Staff were lovely, but night manager Johnny is one in a million, thanks for everything Johnny.

Charleville is a great base for touring around this area of north Cork. Lovely countryside close by for you to explore whether your interest is exploring medieval ruins, mountain biking or catching up with your Irish family in one of the many quaint and cosy local pubs. Great atmosphere with good food and drinks.
