I enjoyed the nice relaxing atmosphere in the hotel and the option of the leisure centre. It has a great location so close to the city and salthill is a lovely area.
The friendly, warm and affordable Wards Hotel and Pub is located in the Lower Salthill area of Galway. A 10 minute walk will bring you to the center of the city.

It is a lovely setting in Barna, good restaurants, from Michelin level to Pizza. Breakfast excellent with good and novel hot options. Rooms quite nice and the suites are really fun. with turntables and tablets. Check it out!
The hotel is ideally located between the buzz of Galway city and the relaxed seaside resort of Salthill.

Beautiful stay. everything was very nice from décor to comfort to staff. Food was fantastic. Not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for and don't regret any thing. I left a kindle behind and staff were very helpful to locate and post for me.
Ideally located among spacious private grounds, this luxury 4-star hotel features a superb location in the leafy suburb of Taylors Hill, 0.6 mi from Galway city center.

The hotel is a large property. The gardens really add to the property, particularly if the weather is good. The food was good and price reasonable. The room was very comfortable.

My brother & I were there for a funeral.
My brother & I were there for a funeral.
My purse was 'lifted' from the room 208 whilst I was at a funeral. We had checked out - just before funeral mass - and when I realised that the purse should still have been in the drawer in the room (after cleaner had been in) I telephoned. I was told - no purse. Shocked I asked if I could check. Sure enough drawer still contained the bagged hairdryer whose position had changed (now centre of drawer) but Mulberry purse had 'disappeared'
My parents loved this hotel. So disappointing

This accommodation is excellent.
This accommodation is excellent. Location is stunning, room was as shown on the website, very clean and view from room was a bonus. Having restaurant and bar facilities on site was a plus since we did not need to travel out for dinner. Would definately recommend it for a short visit and plan to return in the future.

Ideal for children with the proximity of the beach.
Ideal for children with the proximity of the beach. Excellent lunch and dinners. We didn't go anywhere else in Furbo. On our next visit we would make contingency plans for alternative activities in case of rain.
The location is superb - right beside the Furbo beach. We booked the family room which had amaaazing views, lovely furnishings and nice soft carpet, coffee/tea and biscuits and even 4 bottles of water and mini toiletries, which I did not expect in the B&B. This room is more like a boutique hotel room. The food in downstairs restaurant was top class and we also liked the breakfast. The staff was very friendly and efficient and nothing was a problem to them. We will definitely be back again! Thank you!
Very friendly staff. Great location out of town and very comfy bed. There was a small fan & very clean room. Lovely bar and restaurant downstairs that does a selection of fresh sea food & meat dishes. Plenty of parking on the cove and at the hotel itself. Very good breakfast with a good choice for hot food including pancakes or Irish breakfast etc and cereals, fruits and yogurt.
Padriacins way from the city of Galway which was perfect for us! It had Atlantic ocean waterfront so we could watch people enjoying the beautiful weather and water, gorgeous!! Wait staff were extremely thoughtful and attentive. Dinner choices were ample and the breakfast allowed us to choose whatever we wanted from the menu.
Lovely place to stay. Very helpful and friendly staff in reception and restaurant. Beautiful views, nice breakfast. We had a small celebration during our stay and the hotel staff made sure that the dinner in their restaurant was really memorable. Big thank you for that.
Everything about this hotel is absolute perfection!
The staff were absolutely lovely and extremely hard working!
One member of staff I would especially like to mention is Lizzy in the restaurant who was so kind and helpful throughout our stay.
Great location for touring around Galway. Fantastic views. Breakfast was good. Restaurant and bar were good, although a limited menu that you would probably get bored of if you were staying for more than a few days.
The hotel was bright super clean and had a welcome warmth. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was fabulous and good value. Overall it was a very pleasant break away.
We were headed to Inis Mohr early in the morning and wanted a room for the one night closer to the ferry port than Galway; this place was just what we needed.
Great hotel, lovely staff, and very clean will stay again. The room was spacious and could open the window for fresh air. Comfy bed. Really enjoyed it.
