The home, host, and breakfast were all superb. The home is very clean and well kept up with beautiful hardwoods. Checking in late was organized and not a problem at all. It was in a good location for checking out the west coast of Ireland and avoiding the craziness of central Galway.

This place was perfect for our needs. The room was spacious, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Easy check-in and parking. We did not eat at the restaurant, but I did take a look at the food and beer prices, and they were quite reasonable.

I loved everything about the place only thing that needs looking at is the bar menu
I had the chicken burger I asked was the chicken fresh
I was so looking forward to fresh chicken breast burger
Especially for the price I would expect fresh not frozen

We had a nice time here .
The heritage centre is worth a visit. For 5 euro you get to go on a tour and learn lots of the history of Athenry in a fun and interesting way ,you get to wear costumes and you get to do archery and a maze. Such a lovely experience. There's also a castle and an Abbey to visit . Great playground for children.
The food in the restaurants and pubs was just gorgeous. The people were friendly and nice.
Definitely will return again.

Athenry was a wonderful little town to visit.
Athenry was a wonderful little town to visit. Great to get a feel for authentic, non-touristic Irish culture. The town boasts a castle, a friary ruin, an old stone gate, so many gems to visit! Then the nightlife was very fun. Great pubs and music made for one our favorite stops during our 10 day trip to Ireland
Wanted a spot near Shannon airport to make for an easy travel day (50 minutes by car). Rooms are small but lots of storage. Facility has a nice outdoor space for drinks or food that is private but there is smoking allowed there so you never know what you'll get. Their parking lot is also enclosed in that spot so easy to get to. There are not a lot of restaurants in Athenry and the food served here was really quite good and that's a top option for you. Breakfast was very good and included.
We received such a warm and friendly welcome when checking in.
Julie in reception was amazing and went above and beyond to look after us. She even had cookies sent up to the room to wish our daughter a Happy 16th Birthday.
All members of staff we dealt with during our stay were friendly helpful and professional. Its a lovely hotel with great facilities that are clean and well maintained.
The fairy garden is a lovely idea and very well laid out. My little girl loved it.
Very comfortable beds and sitting room area, smart TV, apartment was very nicely decorated throughout, nice large shower and good kitchen area. Great location within Athenry with free parking and a lot of additional services eg restaurant, pizzeria, cafe all as part of the Lodge At the Old Barracks. We got breakfast one of the mornings from the Restaurant which was very tasty.
Everything was perfect. Room lovely and comfortable. Bed and pillows superb! Magnificent breakfast and such pleasant, helpful staff BUT only thing was the person/people above us were so noisy :( Not a fault of the hotel or its lovely surroundings but took us ages to drop off. HOWEVER, little impact on our lovely stay. Thank you very much New Park. We'll be back :)
The food was amazing , the hotel was georgeous and so comfy , the staff were extremely friendly and helpful , my kids got ice cream when they arrived and on leaving , we had a lovely time , a fantastic hotel , it was our first time there , we will definitely be back , it’s very child friendly too.
The staff are probably some of the nicest I've met in any hotel. The food is absolutely gorgeous and not too expensive. Rooms are a good size ,clean and comfortable. Leisure centre is well kept and I enjoyed my time there.
One bedroom flat was just beautiful. Super comfortable pull out couch in the living room was perfect for our daughter. Place is absolutely spotless and very well appointed. Will stay here again if ever back in Athenry.
The staff were lovely, had a free room upgrade. The hotel is old but modern and the small town is a 5 minute drive away or a 20 min walk away. Had a lovely sleep and the hotel was generally lovely with nice scenery
The town is quiet and away from too many tourists, yet close enough to Galway and a great stopping point to see a lovely town. The breakfast was beyond amazing! Friendly staff. Hope to stay there again!
Beautiful quaint hotel. Lovely reception rooms for sitting to chat/read. Staff were great - very friendly and helpful. Breakfast were just beautiful. Lots to eat.
Beautiful inn located central in a medieval castle town. We enjoyed salad and pizza for dinner and the breakfast was outstanding. Best cappuccino in Ireland!
