Rose was an absolute gem and so sweet. I asked her for a couple glasses for water and she offered tea. I said yes and she brought up delicious tea and the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. The owner was kind and made a delicious breakfast that was laid out beautifully.

It was a perfect location, pub and take away next door completed the experience. It had everything needed! We were able to watch the rugby match and play pool in the pub. I loved seeing the tractors go by in the morning.

I thought it was a busy bright town with v friendly people . More detailed tourist info would help & be more widely available eg the Harry Clark windows in St Joseph’s Church . Myself and my daughter had a very relaxing stay.
Myself and my daughter had a very relaxing stay. We particularly enjoyed the spa treatment called ‘the pick n mix’. The lady who gave us Indian head massages and leg and foot massages was outstanding. The food in the restaurant was fabulous with beautiful views surrounding the dining area. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It is a very welcoming hotel. Our only minor disappointment was the big, hard pillows. I didn’t sleep very well. In saying that, we would come back !

It’s a very rural area and Carrickmacross village has a small Main Street but with lots of little shops, cafes and pubs. Also close to Dundalk and larger shopping areas and attractions. Lots of places to go walking and cycling or just sit back and relax.

I was not expecting much and even at that this was below my expectations. I will say that the breakfast was surprisingly good and fresh - although we finished our entire meal with no coffee because we couldn't get any staff to wait on us.
