The staff were brilliant. The food looked lovely but didn't eat in it. The area around the hotel was lovely.

The facility was beautiful and the hosts were wonderful. We were served delightful breakfasts and given a lot of tips on sights we could see during the day. We were very comfortable in the surroundings. The location was quiet yet close to the city.

We stopped for one night on our way back to Dublin from The Slieve Leagues Cliffs. Ballybofen was busy and nothing particularly to recommend it. For a future trip we would find somewhere else along the route to stay.

Not the most scenic place in Donegal but good base for touring and exploring other areas with forests, mountains, lakes and beaches etc. Three good quality hotels with a lot better value than at usual expensive seaside areas. A few good shops but not many good pubs ,guest houses, entertainment or restaurants etc. Nice woodland walks and good bus service to the other larger towns across the North west of Ireland. Nb. Plenty of easy free parking.

Ballybofey is gorgeous and whilst needing some upgrade, worth visiting the Mc Elhinneys for women and men who love fashion and good cafe in store for lunches and coffees. Very upbeat atmosphere. We became aware that Ukraine people are staying there. We got to meet Iryna and her son Andre. She was so grateful to Ireland for rescue from the war and said her husband not fighting but was back in Ukraine. She told us she was visiting a local national park and was so grateful.

I visited Glenveigh National Park the scenery was stunning.
I visited Glenveigh National Park the scenery was stunning. I had a bicycle and enjoyed the cycle in the park.
I visited the homeplace of St. Columbkill, his monastery and holy well.
I attended mass in the Cathedral in Letterkenny a wonderful experience for me, it's one of the most ornate and beautiful churches in Ireland well worth a visit.
The staff were extremely friendly and very well at giving information about the local area, dinner was fantastic both nights we went. We tried one of the other restaurants the whole hotel was extremely clean and well kept. So was the pool and spa area!. Would definitely return also the night door man was extremely friendly and chatty didn't catch his name unfortunately.oh also the beds are a trap not a big napper but the bed you would just lay down and the bed would knock you out in two seconds.
The host, Patricia and her husband was second to none, amazing people, they took us out of they’re own will the wedding we attended at Ballybofey, gave us a umber for a taxi and probably due to my own drunken state the taxi didn’t come BUT in the Irish rain she got out of her bed & brought me & my missus home! Thank you so much! I’m a Saffa but the Irish love her & her husband gave us was too notch! Highly recommend!
The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable, in a quiet and idillic area. The kitchen is well equipped. The host is nice and helpful. With the help of the detailed instructions it was easy to find the house. Donegal is less than 30 min drive from here.
Basically about an hour away from almost any part of Donegal so it was a perfect base for our trip exploring Donegal. Miranda was very welcoming and pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable, good hot shower, free parking, and reasonably priced overall.
Comfortable Hotel in a reasonable location - easy commute into larger town of Letterkenny, on edge of pretty river.
Busy with weddings and parties so lots of people milling about but not noisy in our room.
Pool facilities clean and enjoyable.
Very comfortable beds. Cute little bungalow. Nice views to wake up to and a good starting point to discover Donegal by car. Hazel the owner was very helpful and apart from no WiFi, the bungalow was brilliant.
Very good quality house with plenty of space and most home comforts. Ideal if your going to a wedding locally or as a base for a Donegal holiday to do day trips to beaches and other county attractions.
Mary was very warm & welcoming. Her husband dropped me down to Jacksons Hotel where I was attending a New Years Eve event. The room was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again
