This is a little gem situated in the central square with parking, access to all amenities including the sea; & excellent staff. Also, very good value for money. Now I"ve written this we'll never get a booking - but the establishment deserves to do well.
This luxury hotel has a magical location in the middle of the Bluestack Mountains, on the edge of Lough Eske. It is 3.5 miles from Donegal town and has gourmet food and a romantic atmosphere.

Outstanding facilities, immaculate, the rooms were wonderfully appointed and very large. Great views. Food was excellent. I recommend this property highly. When we left the property on our way to Dublin, I left a bag at the property. Eamonn, a concierge at the property contacted us and arranged to have the bag forwarded to our next hotel. Amazing service and attention to detail.

North west Donegal has spectacular beaches without any doubt. There are far too many houses built on land that has sea views, this has to be ignored by any visitors.
The Fanad peninsula was the best place, not as developed.

Donegal is one of the loveliest parts of Ireland and always worth a visit, from the wild countryside to Errigal mountain and the rugged coastline. The people are very friendly and welcoming. This was a short visit, but I have been before and stayed longer.

O' Donnell castle or Donegal castle was the highlight of our stay, plus a visit to Slieve League, as it was raining so much we just travelled around in the care, taking in the views as we could. Donegal is a great County to visit but you need the sunshine to see it at its best. If you visit Ireland, Donegal is a must place to go. Tara Hotel in Killybegs is the place to have your meals, great food great staff.

If you plan to tour County Donegal take your time and look behind the "usual" tourist spots as there's lots of little gems to be found. Don't just follow the crowd on the WAY trail and ticking the box ! Scenery is stunning and some off road sandy beaches are amazing.
Second time staying at Ros Dun. Excellent location, just 2 minutes walk into Donegal Town. House is lovely and really well maintained. Our room was at the front of the house, with en suite and a walk in wardrobe. Everything about Ros Dun and our room was immaculate.
Continental breakfast the following morning with plenty of tea and coffee.
Geraldine and Michael are superb hosts. Great communication pre-arrival and helpful and friendly while we were there.
A really enjoyable stay. We will be back.
The location is a tiny slice of heaven. 10 minutes out of Donegal Town on a winding road in the trees. The vet from the property over Lough Eske is incredible! The garden and grounds are stunning and it gives a fairytale feel to the entire stay.
We were the only 2 guests that night and the owner couldn't have been nicer! She made a beautiful breakfast for us, a good strong cup of coffee and terrific conversation! I would go back here in a heartbeat!!!
I liked the wildernes of Donegal and remoteness and privacy, beautiful Arranmore ireland and ferry across, sea food, tranquillity of country site plenty of space for family and an experience of old Irish town, friendliness of locals. Owner was very helpful. Easy access to take aways, restaurants or fully equiped kitchen if you like to cook. Definitely recommend.
The location was great for a wedding we were attending in the MillPark Hotel, it was directly opposite it! It was also just a 15 minute walk into the centre of Donegal Town! Jack, the host was really accommodating and the service we received was great! Beds were really comfy too!
Amy's place exceeded our expectations! Beautiful town home, recently redecorated, very comfortable beds, full kitchen, clean, great location in a cute County Donegal town. We had driven from Giant's Causeway and were heading to Slieve League. Great spot to stop!
Our room was spacious and very clean. Location is just a few minutes walk to the town, which was great for us staying for the day two of a wedding, and was great for a walk to breakfast in the morning - although the hotel does have a lovely restaurant.
This is in a good location for the centre of Donegal Town and for exploring this part of the West of Ireland. It is clean, friendly and well equipped, a thoroughly pleasant place to stay, at a reasonable price. Shaun was particularly helpful
A great central location in Donegal town. Bars and restaurants all around and in the hotel they were very good.
Staff we very nice and helpful.
Good spacing in the restaurants due to CV19. Everyone wearing facemasks. Great .
Spacious and extensively refurbished and remodeled rooms above an old traditional Irish bar.
Centrally located but very well soundproofed.
Main bus stop just steps away outside the Abbey Hotel
Highly recommended.
Staff was friendly, room was clean, bathroom was nice. Centrally located downtown. No parking, but not an issue since there was a very reasonably priced car park near the hotel.
The location is a ten, short walk to downtown Donegal, shorter walk to a pub renowned for music. Breakfast was excellent, staff were warm and exceedingly helpful.
Fantastic value; rooms are perfect, staff is friendly, and food is amazing! Walk to Donegal Town is short and sweet. Would definitely stay again : ) Thank you!
Walking distance to donegal town.
Beautiful & comfortable bed room with shower and bath. Leisure facility was great with swimming pool, steam room & hot tub.
Fantastic property, homely and nice view. Owner met us on site and had left milk and cake - perfect for large family get together not far from Donegal town
