I loved the area, it was very beautiful and quiet.
I loved the area, it was very beautiful and quiet. It was easy to find the property using Google maps and once there it was easy to get around. It is definitely easy to recommend going there as it’s a very picture postcard holiday 10/10.

Honestly the most picturesque place I have ever been on my travels, we went to keem, keel and the golden strand beaches all were no further that 25 minutes at its best! The locals are so so friendly and are up for a laugh and super helpful with things to do! There is so much to do on the island both me and my friends we’re amazed by our stay here! It’s safe to say we are planning our next trip here already!

The area is unspoilt and you are never far away from the wild ocean. We visited Ted's which we would recommend for its excellent food and home fire. Lynotts is also a must, a traditional pub with an open fire and music on Friday evenings. Mastersons is in a great location overlooking the wild waves. We drove to Westport which is a lovely town with lots of individual shops including coffee shop, gifts and crafts. We went in February which is a little out of season so if you are wanting to visit somewhere specific, then I would recommend checking it is open.

It is very easy to see all of Achill with a car, and Bunacurry is in the centre making it the perfect spot for adventuring out. We visited Keel and Keem Strands, the Famine Village, went to the top of the mountain for spectacular views. Lunch in the Beehive and dinner in the Amethyst were both lovely and great value for money.
