The hotel was so cute and well done. The walls are a little thin, but that is typical. We did hear people coming and going but nothing we couldn’t live with. The bar was well done and it seemed like a hangout for some of the locals. The reception went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get to and from the hotel to a local bar in Drogheda. She politely answered all of our American questions such as, “do we tip our bartender” she laughed and told us not to.

Originally built in 1867, this charming townhouse has been tastefully renovated in a modern style, while still retaining its historic charm, with stained glass windows and high coved ceilings.

The hotel was very historically quaint. Good location in town. The restaurant and bar and afternoon tea area were lovely and the food was the best we had in Ireland and reasonably priced. The staff were great. They accommodated all of our needs. Bed very comfortable.

Totally amazing place to stay which exceeded our expectations. Great location in the Irish countryside - quiet and peaceful, local villages very scenic and plenty of historical tourist sights closeby. The property was extremely comfortable for a family of 4 adults, all you could possibly need and more! The incredible range of food and drink provided for breakfast/supper was delicious and very handy (eg variety of bread, cheese, ham, yogurts, cereal, cakes, crisps, fruit etc etc etc). The beds were extremely comfy and everything you could possible need was provided. The host was very welcoming and went out of her way to ensure we had the best time. We spent one day exploring local castles, villages and UNESCO heritage site Newgrange. The next day we drove to the other side of Ireland and back to explore Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. A beautiful, memorable stay!
