The last time I stayed in Bunbeg was 12 years ago and it has become very run down with quite a few places closed but this would also be impacted by the restrictions etc due to Covid. It's fine if you want to get away from it all.

This region has stunning coastal scenery and inland the rocky moorland is a great walking area.
Be prepared for bad weather. It is not called the “Wild Atlantic Coast” for nothing.
The Donegal airport has been voted the most scenic landing approach in the world.

First, you need a car! The beaches and scenery are spectacular and uncrowded. The people are friendly and welcoming. Within a 15 mile radius there are some great eating establishments. Generally pubs with great craic and music. Love the area.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for our recent stay at Teac Campbell Guesthouse in Donegal. Our experience was truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay in this area.
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the exceptional hospitality I received from the hosts. Their friendliness, warmth, and genuine care for their guests were truly remarkable. They made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as enjoyable as possible.
The Ocean lodge is set in a wonderful part of Donegal, with stunning coastal views. It was warm and cosy, nicely furnished, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. There was a lovely welcome basket of scones, jam and butter along with some complementary wine. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and when we mentioned we were unsure where to eat that evening, they recommended a lovely bar/restaurant and even booked it in their name for us. Thank you! We look forward to returning in the future.
This was a great place to stay, nestled in Bunbeg Harbour. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. There were no restaurants nearby but they did offer to drive us (we walked about 20 minutes). We had a very special evening of music at a nearby pub (10 minutes away), ‘Teach Hiudi Beag’ that was the highlight of our bicycle tour through Ireland (5 1/2 weeks). Check it out if you are in the area; they play Monday and Friday.
The location was a great first stop after landing at the Donegal airport. The hosts were so kind, and we were offered tea and biscuits on arrival in the afternoon. Breakfast is delicious, everyone went out of the way to make sure you're well fed. It's walking distance to Teac Huidai Beag where we went for the Monday night trad session. This was a highlight of our whole trip for sure.
Very friendly staff. Recommended we book in for dinner as they get quite busy. Dinner was tasty. The rooms are basic. Not sure the price paid reflects the room. It's a bit dated & lacked cohesion in the interior decoration (that's just my trained eye!). Room was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty but basic. It's a small hotel, well run, friendly staff & comfortable.
We spent four nights at Hazel View Apartment and we were overwhelmed by the size, outfit and hospitality from Angela. We felt like home. Kitchen was equipped perfectly and there was plenty of information and tipps for tours and restaurants. We enjoyed the quit. Good location for touring Donegal.
Unfortunately we can’t give more than 10 points.
The view from the property is amazing. Don’t be out off as you approach, you drive up past the derelict hotel and the apartments are at the top of the hill. seemed to be a brand new kitchen and had all you might need to prepare food which was great.Beds were really comfy and we slept well with the peace and quiet.
The location is lovely, situated right on the harbour a minutes drive from Bunbeg village. Beautiful sunset in Bunbeg. The room and hotel is a bit dated (wouldnt turn me off), the food and service was excellent. Had dinner in "Leos", home to Clannad which was lovely in these Covid times.
Hosts were incredibly welcoming. There is a beautiful beach nearby that we walked down for hours. The sitting room is huge and overlooks the ocean. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks for making us feel so comfortable!
Absolutely lovely and homely apartment, everything you could ever need is there, beautiful sea view and can see planes coming and frowing from Donegal airport, highly recommend, beautiful beaches near by
The staff was very personable, the bar/restaurant was warm, cozy, personable. The location overlooked the city and water. Wonderful to find this amazing place in a special part of Ireland.
I like the location right on the water and the proximity to pubs in Gweedore. The breakfast room was also quite nice, with a view of the water. There was also a bar in the evening.
