Easy instructions from Lorna to get in to property as we arrived late.Great welcome from Caroline who works there at breakfast, and we had great chats with them both. Really l nice people and we were sorry not to have met David too as he and Lorna have worked hard as a team and have a passion for what they do . The breakfast was delicious and we saw some cakes being made (premise was also a tea shop until recently) and all looked yum.. what a great location too nice and quirky and really spotless rooms . Loved the shabby chic vibe.

The staff were very friendly and provided good service. The dinner in the bar was very good and the bar also provided live entertainment. The spa facilities were good which included pool out door jacuzzi with lovely views as well as sauna and steam room. The hotel had amazing walks and scenery and we were also given a history talk of the resort which was very informative. Remotely based with exceptional views. We will definitely be back.

The pods were a great base to tour the Beara peninsula from. Castletownbere, Allihies, the Buddhist centre, over the Healy Pass into Kerry, Ballydonegan beach lovely. Friendly locals and good food and service whereever we went.

There is so much to do in this area.
There is so much to do in this area. Beautiful gardens you could spend half a day if not a full day. Scenery will exceed all your expectations. I have travelled all over the world and reland still remains the most beautiful country. The food in the pubs we randomly went into was lovely and fairly priced.

Castletownbere is a lovely fishing town in the south west of Ireland. It has a number of great cafes and restaurants. In addition to being a very picturesque place, it is within deriving distance of everywhere on the amazing Bear peninsula, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places to see in Ireland.

I love the Beara Penisnsula & on this occasion Castletownbere just shone. Weather was absolutely perfect. Great buzz about town & a great feel when you are there. Scenery absolutely stellar & Bere Island is a treat. Just a lovely town to spend a good few days relaxing & drinking it all in.

A fantastic location that is really unspoilt! Fabulous scenery ,great walks even around the town and the harbour, very good places to eat. I'd even recommend the chippers in the Square and great music in the pubs at night. It was really easy to get talking to locals and tourists alike. Very relaxed atmosphere and got some shopping in too! I loved the Art Gallery and prices were very good too.AAnonymousIreland

The place was kept in excellent condition and the room had all the necessary amenities. The toilet was good and had all the required toiletries and fresh towels. The view from our room was lovely, especially in the morning. The breakfast served was good too. It is close to a lot of beautiful scenic gems along the west of cork. Sophie and Phillipe were the most loveliest hosts, welcoming and very informative about the surrounding area.
