We came to Bunratty to attend the Medieval Banquet.
We came to Bunratty to attend the Medieval Banquet. This is well worth a visit. The food was great! I really enjoyed the Mead welcome drinks too! The staff who were serving our food were also the entertainment. The singing was absolutely fantastic! I sing in a Welsh choir, I was seriously impressed! They instrumentalists were also exceptional. The host was also very funny, so it was a great night!
The castle is a fantastic attraction to visit and spend time with family and learn all about the medieval past.
After the banquet we went into the village and visited the local pubs. What an exceptional warm welcome we received. Both pubs had musicians playing and singing! What a place to visit for a bit of authentic Irish entertainment.

Bunratty provided a close location to Shannon Airport necessary after an overnight flight. We dined at JP Clarks which is lovely and delicious. Dirty Nelly's was adorable, but we couldn't get service. Bunratty Folk Park is well worth a visit. The breakfast served at Bunratty Mews B & B was plentiful and delicious which we could enjoy and be on our way.

Bunratty Castle gives you access to all the rooms.
Bunratty Castle gives you access to all the rooms. If you have trouble walking on narrow steep surfaces you would not have access to most of the castle, however the rest of the park is very interesting and accessible.

This is a perfect way to start an Irish vacation.
This is a perfect way to start an Irish vacation. It is a short drive from the Shannon airport and the Bunratty Castle/folk museum is a great way to shake off jet lag. There is shopping and restaurants in town that are very good options.
As you approach the building, it seems like a great estate house....tall ceilings, large rooms, opulent furnishings. Our room was quite large, with a large bed, and sofas by the window. There is a game room with billiard table and bar area which is quite nice for a B&B, and a baby grand piano (that could really use a tuning). Breakfast is served in a delightful dining room with traditional english breakfast offered. There's a couple of pubs nearby in Bunratty, right by the castle that were quite fun.
Bunratty Manor Hotel was a fabulous experience. Cira welcomed us with a smile and we were delighted with our beautiful room and large bathroom and very comfortable beds. The housekeepers were all smiles and laughing which tells me they are happy and treated well. Loved the bar and restaurant and Noel the owner was friendly as checked on us during our meal. The garden and flowers were beautiful and the location was so convenient for our different excursions. Oh, and they had air conditioning!
Everything about this property was wonderful! Vinny and Sheelagh are great hosts. The room was very comfortable and prepared with a nice continental breakfast, including yogurt, cereal, croissants, fruit, coffee, tea, etc. It was a short walk to Bunratty Castle and local restaurants. We stayed there because of the short trip to Shannon airport at the end of our Ireland trip…..a quick taxi ride away. Highly recommend this accommodation!
Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. Everything had been prepared with good taste - quality bed linen, furnishings, decoration. Catherine was very helpful, informative and pleasant. The location - surrounded by countryside but within easy reach of Shannon Airport and motorway - was ideal. I was so pleasantly surprised by this accommodation - so much more than a hotel room!
Our host, Deidre was so welcoming and friendly. The family room was very comfortable for our family of 4 to stay in and the beds were very comfortable. Also, the shower was very good! The location offered great accessibility to the Shannon airport and even Bunratty Castle. We hope to return to Ireland and repeat our stay at this B&B.
Sinead and Shane are both extremely welcoming. The room was spacious, warm and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is exceptional, Shane is a qualified chef and this shows, his homemade soda bread is worth a visit alone! The location is ideal Buratty Castle is practically on their door step.
Where should I start? Great welcome and brief overview of Bunratty on check-in, sufficient parking places, nice breakfast and very pleasant stay throughout. The host made us feel at home. Just a short walk from the castle and there's an excellent restaurant 50m away.
It was extremely clean, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the host and hostess were so lovely! There were facecloths in the bathroom, too (something not often found in Ireland hotels or B&Bs). It was just down the street from Bunratty Castle.
Location was private and in the country but less than10 minutes from a selection of restaurants and bars in bunratty and of course the castle.
Breakfast was excellent. Friendly host and beautifully decorated suite for excellent value.
It was close to food and Bunratty castle. It was warm and cozy. With just enough room for teenagers to not have to be bothered by their boring parents! We all slept well! Loved the binder for more info.
Lovely room with en suite, within walking distance of the village and its 4 pubs/restaurants and the fantastic Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Great breakfast in our room each day also.
Breakfast was superb! Lorraine was a wonderful host. The house is enormous and furnished so that one feels like royalty. The Medieval Banquet at Bunratty Castle is a must!! Great fun.
We choose it because it was close to the airport, but it also turned out to be in a peaceful setting (though a little close to the main road) and to Bunratty castle and village.
