Dunmore East was lovely but I would not recommend The Strand Inn. The food was over priced for the quality and Mr. Aviator serving food was rude and too fond of himself to be working there. AZZURO was much better.

A beautiful spot with friendly people.
A beautiful spot with friendly people. I was there in the wintertime and it was quiet but in the summer with the water sports and outdoor activities it must be wonderful. I will be returning again but in the summertime when it is warmer. It was November and chilly, beautiful but cold!
I had food at the Azurro Restaurant, The Haven Hotel and The Strand Inn, great meals at each location.
Catherine, was very welcoming & very responsive to our needs, as we had an issue with the television & they responded immediately to our needs
The breakfast down in The Strand Inn was lovely & the staff were very friendly & went out of their way to help, especially Olivia on the Sunday lunchtime shift.
The location was superb (right beside The Haven Hotel) where our friend's wedding was being held so we could just walk over.
I would definitely recommend The townhouse (8/10) but just not room no 1.
It is a wonderful place where you can fall asleep and wake up to the sound of sea waves. The owner of the apartment is very friendly. A quiet town of Dunmore East with several picturesque coves and beaches and places to walk. Do not forget to visit the East Piar cafe and taste delicious fresh seafood.
Sundy Cove - this is a place where you want to return!
We loved our stay at the Strand Inn. Food was excellent if a tiny bit expensive. All the staff were friendly and efficient, Nora the Receptionist even gave us a lift to the pub (The Butcher's/Power's) on her way home from work. Incidentally there is a great Trad session on in the pub every Tuesday. Would definitely stay at the Strand Inn again .
The Strand is in the centre of `Dunmore East and the hub of activity at the bar and the beach, so is very busy during the day, but a bit quieter on normal weeks, in the evening. The breakfast and the environment was good and friendly helpful staff, with excellent views over the sea. Bedroom, without sea view was fine and comfortable.
There are two hotels to my knowledge that are on the beach on the entire east coast of Ireland. One of the them is the Strand Inn. First visit was twenty years ago. It’s a perfect beach hotel on a perfect Waterford Beach. Super clean, excellent food and bar, lovely rooms. A really great family hotel in lovely Dunmore East.
Loved the hotel we stayed in room 5,fabulous overlooking the sea, really enjoyed the food and music in the bar even with restrictions until 8pm for non residents . breakfast was also excellent I would highly recommend and will definitely come back
Lovely laid back & homely hotel. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Lovely restaurant & bar and outdoor seating. Hotel has an old style feel to it. Great location to the centre of Dunmore East, beaches, walks and harbour. Good value.
Lovely room but the service at breakfast could have been better. This is a Fabulous Hotel in a beautiful setting. The hotel is quaint and full of old world charm. However the staff could do with some lessons in customer service.
Location was great. A short walk to Dunmore East village and beach, as well as bars and restaurants. Ample parking on site was also great. House was very clean and comfortable and we liked the little back garden.
Really excellent location, the hotel really trades on being in this location, probably hoping that this overshadows any slightly off experiences.
Special mention to the breakfast staff.
The property is close to everything in Dunmore East. The view is beautiful when the weather is nice.
Communication with the host prior to the stay was good.
