Youghal is located at a river estuary. It has a history - we stayed at the Sir Walter Raleigh hotel - and a number of historic buildings in town and on the water front. We stayed overnight. I had a long, interesting, exploratory trip along the boardwalk along a wide, blue flag beach. It’s a destination for family holidays, it’s well worth a stop on a trip along the south coast of Ireland.
Fabulous unspoilt seaside resort. Charming friendly people. Magnificent sunsets & beaches galore. Easy walking around town and along the promenade/strand. Bertie’s pub for great Guinness & atmosphere even on rainy afternoon.
Clancy’s for great food & service.

I love Youghal.
I love Youghal. I have been visiting and sometimes staying there for years. For a seaside resort I find it very peaceful. Plenty of places to eat and everyone has been very friendly. Clancy's is probably my most favourite bat/restaurant. Good value for money.

Youghal was a lovely town with lots of independent shops, cafes and pubs. Signs indicate that a parking disk is required but the Tourist Board told us when we were there that parking was free everywhere. Would be sensible to check if this is still the case.

Youghal is a lovely friendly seaside town.
Youghal is a lovely friendly seaside town. The newly extended boardwalk makes for a scenic walk. There is a long beach with some great views all year long. Had breakfast in a little cafe named 'Sage'. Had a full Irish breakfast for €10. I could not recommend this cafe more.

Youghal is a busy town, lots of shops and places to eat.lovely to walk around and sit looking out at the sea. Was sad to see that a no. of shops are closing down, obviously the result of COVID 19. Smashing little cinema there too.
From the moment we checked in everything was excellent. From the receptionist to the waitresses, room service was extremely good. The food was exceptional, I don't have a bad word to say. We would highly recommend the Water Raleigh hotel. The room was spotless, the bathroom was excellent, the power shower unreal🥰 Great value for money.Location is fabulous right across from the beach and a fantastic place to go for a walk. We will definitely be back again, thank you Walter Raleigh hotel 🏨
Beautiful house, very clean and well maintained, very comfortable beds and beautiful views. Absolutely brilliant location as its halfway from Dungarvan and Cork/Kinsale. Best place to stay for a few days to get to know the best places in Cork or just to chill out and unwind.
Great indications to access the property and getting the key from the lock at the door was extremely straight forward and a great idea for these type of properties.
The room was huge and the bed too. Bed was a bit too springy for my liking (that's not a complaint just an observation)
Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. My only gripe was that after specifically asking that the bill for dinner be charged to my room the staff allowed my dinner guests to pay.
But no problem recommending this hotel for food and accommodation. Friendly helpful staff.
Our host, Barbara, was a fount of information on the local area, as well as providing a scrummy breakfast - YUM! Plenty to do in Youghal, in addition to day trips into Cork and the surrounding countryside. Our drive on the coast road between Dungarvan and Tramore was lovely and well worth the extra time to savor the sparkling green fields of Ireland.
We were warmly welcomed by the hosts & treated to biscuits with our cup of tea while making use of the lounge to watch sport on TV. We made use of one of the dinner recommendations in Youghal & were not disappointed.
We loved our spacious room with it's water view & were impressed with the breakfast we were served as part of the cost of our stay
Such a lovely relaxing space. We really enjoyed our time in Youghal. The information before arrival was the best and very straight forward and we didn’t have any trouble with our self check-in. The house was cozy and felt like home and the little touches around the house really added to the experience. We will be back.
Location was good as it was near Youghal for the Ironman. Breakfast wasnt included but the host did leave some porridge and teas for us. The beds were good and the room itself was big.
Great Hosts, great Breakfasts, great Rugby banter with Peter, even though he’s a Munster man andI turned up in my Leinster cap!
Can’t recommend enough if you’re in East Cork
The hostess is a very especial person.
So friendly , caring and nice.
I loved her and I recomend her property a each one, that pass Youghal travelling in Ireland
The hosts were very welcoming and attentive. Beautiful location with views of the water. Very comfortable spacious room. Delicious fresh breakfast in the mornings.
Beautifully appointed property in the heart of Youghal. I love staying in Avonmore House as I feel so comfortable there! Oh, and the breakfasts are incredible!
