Beautiful vibrant town with welcoming people everywhere.
Beautiful vibrant town with welcoming people everywhere. The area by the river is particularly beautiful. There are plenty of things to do and see and the market ( if you get the chance to see it) is lovely. The tiny Costello chapel is moving and a tiny gem. Really good range of places to eat and some very excellent ones amongst them. The whole town has a bustling vibrant feel and is a complete delight. It is well located to allow you to visit a range fo places of interest further afield.

Potters Lodge offers perfect accommodation for 4 people. Tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It's in a nice setting next to a beautiful historic house. We were welcomed by Ruth on arrival and two nice chocolate bars and a bottle of wine in the fridge. We used it as a base to explore Lough Key, Boyle Abbey, Arigna Mines and Carrick on Shannon. A car is essential and a small supply of groceries due to its remote location. We would happily return again ~ Thank you Ruth.
We didn’t stay at the property. The little gem by the boardwalk was disgusting, dated, and did not have anything to recommend it. It was mis sold and I therefore request a complete refund. I understood that the bathroom was an en suite and that we would have some privacy and not sharing the apartment with the proprietor. We had to check into an hotel which cost us €500.00 for the three nights.
We await your response!!
Brilliant house, especially for children and a bonus that it allows pets. The children loved the trampoline and climbing frame.
Very private with plenty of space for the children and dogs to run about, yet only a 5 minute drive to Tesco and a shopping outlet, and a 10 minute drive to Carrick on Shannon town centre.
House quite modern, with a cosy living room. Nice view of the lake.
Will definitely return
A friend and I stayed here while we were on a hen weekend in carrick on Shannon. We wanted a bit of peace and quiet away from the town and that is what we got! The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. The cottage was perfect, all the amenities we needed and even a gorgeous terrace area to enjoy a cup of tea before hitting the town. Only wish we got to stay longer!
The hotel is charming, historic and in the heart of the village. Food and drink located on the premises, free secure parking and staff willing to help at every opportunity. I was lucky enough to be booked into the Michael Collins room which was an extra delight for anyone interested in Irish history.
Location is very central, right in the heart of Carrick on shannon. Room was clean & bed extremely comfy. Kitchen & dining area for guests to use for their own food was fab (I'm on a restrictive diet so this was a Godsend). Staff very helpful & friendly. Accommodation was great value
Nice property but cost was very high given the quality. The location is fab, we sat watching boats go by in the sun outside which was lovely. The food was very nice. we had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel and staff were fab.
The house was beautiful, impeccably clean and in a nice peaceful location although not very far from Carrick on Shannon. Breakfast was lovely and very filling and the host was very welcoming, Would definitely stay there again.
Excellent central location in Carrick with shops, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep. The room was very large and clean. It was at the rear of the hotel and very quiet. The communal areas have lots of character.
close to Carrick on Shannon town centre, I went on a boat trip which is the reason I went to Carrick on Shannon. Many people go on stage and hens there but I wasn’t there for a stag.
It is clean and cheerful.charlotte the owner is very friendly and helpful.the house is in a great location on the outskirts of carrick on shannon.breakfast was great.
Lovely decorated house with lots of space for all of us (family of 9) pub and walkway 2mins away. 5min drive to local village and 15mins from carrick on Shannon.
