A former manor house dating back to the 18th century, this ivy-clad residence has been totally refurbished to provide the warmth of a country home with the style of a luxury hotel.

Very comfy cottage for a stay in County Clare. Close to many attractions including the cliffs of Kilkee, Cliffs of Moher and Hook Head. Good beds, lovely washer and dryer, cosy and warm, good amenities for cooking. Great responsive host. Would loved to have stayed for a longer time.

Perfect location for the West Coast ~ along train line so we were able to come from Dublin and able to have 2 days to visit Galway & Limerick. Ennis is a lovely gem of a town. Tiddy & friendly town too. People of Ireland were very welcoming.
Clare Museum provided historical information. Carmel & Maria were very helpful with providing maps of Ennis & towns nearby as well as train schedules. They also had additional information about specific attractions & events nearby as well as available hours.
Pub grub (Knox’s, Brogan’s,Poet’s Corner) & music was great & enjoyed the local cafe ( Cafe Aroma) too.
Liked visiting some of the shops ~ especially the Book Store, News Agency, & Woolen Shop. I followed the Ennis Walking tour~ really liked seeing the Friary, Cathedral, the market. Library ~ recently updated on line site for researching ancestors. Although a nice small library, I understand that a new larger library is being built which will be a great benefit for citizens & visitors too.
We hired a taxi from Ennis for longer trip to Dingle, the Slea Head Loop and for other day to check out Craggaunowen and an area that our family possibly came from. Mike our taxi driver was very helpful & knowledgeable about the area.

Ennis is a great town to start a trip along the West Coast.
Ennis is a great town to start a trip along the West Coast. It is not far from Shannon Airport and has great pubs and shops there. The food in the pubs and restaurants is excellent and you will find Irish music most nights in one of the pubs in town. Very accessible to all of the beautiful sites in County Clare

Ennis is a lovely town. Lovely shops and restaurants. We were down for a music weekend and it was brilliant. There was a Piper's and brass band perade on the Saturday and it was fantastic. We had a meal in Brogans and the food was fabulous.

Ennis is a great, colorful town in a central location with great walkability. There is a lot to do in town or outside of town. It's not too far from Lahinch and the coast for day trips. It is very busy on the weekends.

We went to Ennis to meet up with long lost relatives of my father but we have visited Ennis three times in the last year. Ennis itself is nice, nice pubs, restaurants and shops but we travelled around quite a bit and seen many tourist attractions. There is lots to see and do in County Clare. It has it all, beautiful country scenery, the sea, rivers, the burren, the music, the craic, lovely food and pubs and the people are very friendly. There is lots to do but my personal opinion is, it’s better, if you travel by car.

My wife is originally from Ennis so we travel there regularly to see family. Ennis is a small town and is an excellent base to explore county Clare. There is a wide variety of restaurants and cafes who provide very good food at very reasonable prices. There is everything available for all tastes and appetites,
Everything was beautiful, the house was spacious, warm, well furnished and decorated, fully equipped, quiet, a nice big garden, just 3km away from Ennis centre, host Magdalena welcomed us heartly, there was a welcome treat for us, so comfortable.
A great accommodation for a weekendtrip with friends in between Cliffs, Limerick, Galway and Kerry but also a great place to relax with the whole family and the beautiful town of Ennis in front of the door.
Everything. This is the place to stay if you have a car and are staying in Ennis, or doing the cliffs of moher or exploring CO Clare and need a base. The accommodation, the hosts - (Gerry is the perfect B&B host), breakfast is an amazing surprise, even freshly cooked scones in the morning... I can't recommend enough. We were on a road trip around Ireland for just over 2 weeks and this was a stand out - thank you so much Gerry :)

We booked a triple room which was clean, big & spacious. We stayed 3 nights & had 3 dinners in the restaurant which were lovely, we could not fault them. We had drinks in the bar & bar food at lunch which again ticked the box. Breakfast was good too. The pool was lovely too. Overall I'd recommend Hotel Woodstock for a staycation.
A charming, quiet and very well-kept guest house. Rooms were of ample size with comfortable beds; nicely tiled en suite bathrooms. Easy access to Ennis and major thoroughfares to tourist sites. Good breakfast carefully prepared by Marie, our affable host.
This is a beautiful hotel in the center of Ennis. The bedroom was spacious with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were great. We had a great two night stay and would recommend this hotel and Ennis as a place to visit.
The property was as described. We were especially pleased when the owner came to downtown Ennis to pick up our bags so we could stay and enjoy the Ennis Tradfest. We would definitely stay there again and we recommend it highly.
We were given single beds when we first arrived and the hotel accommodated us and switched our rooms when we asked for double beds.
The hotel has great parking and is in a good location to see Ennis and surrounding places.
A hotel with a great location, big enough rooms, and comfortable bed. The staff was friendly, and their bar definitely worth a visit. Breakfast options were somewhat limited but also good.
