Monaghan is a very busy town with some lovely dress shops and men shops. Nice coffee bars and place to eat - food is lovely and plentiful!. We noticed there was no litter anywhere.
A very enjoyable visit and would recommend The Meadows - very clean, nice towels every day, etc.
We ate in the Westenra Hotel.
Very easy to get around Monaghan.

Guesthouse was fantastic.
Guesthouse was fantastic. The lady was extremely pleasant and helpful. We were given a room upgrade and a delicious breakfast. We were meeting up with friends for dinner in Monaghan. Our meal in the Batch Loaf restaurant was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Monaghan is what it is.
Monaghan is what it is. A pleasant town that can be easily explored on foot with some nice restaurants and shops. Have stayed there on three occasions because of family events and will return again, but only for a family event.

At the suggestion of the hosts, we visited Castle Leslie one afternoon. We enjoyed it immensely. It’s a “must see” place to visit! (Paul McCartney and Heather Mills we’re married there a few years ago.) Monaghan is a beautiful county. We’d like to explore more of it another time! We‘ll be back again! 🇮🇪🍀😊

We had a good meal at The Squealing Pig.
We had a good meal at The Squealing Pig. However. the centre of Monaghan was disappointingly drab and limited in choice. We were keen to go to the nearby Ross more Forest Park but could find no helpful signs.
We absolutely loved our stay here from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by the owner "Trudy" and then shown to our room.
Our room like the rest of the accommodations; it was PERFECT!!
Very clean, comfortable beds, and even the shower was great. The location was perfect, we were within walking distance to many shops, bars, restaurants and a movie theater was also less than 2 miles away.
We highly recommend this facility to all and promise you that you will not regret it!!
Pauline was a great host who made sure we were comfortable and had anything we needed. The house is lovely the rooms are very spacious and comfortable with lovely views. Quick drive to Monaghan town and Castle Leslie wedding venue. Pauline was kind enough to drop us to the castle for one of our events and taxis were easily available in the area also. Pauline made a lovely breakfast and specially bought me dairy free milk for coffee.
Great location. Only there for 1 night but Monaghan seems a nice town. Had a lovely meal in Monaghan town which was a short drive. Lovely warm welcome. Room and bathroom facilities-spotlessly clean. Dining room where breakfast was served was a little cold but we were there in February waiting for Storm Eunice to strike!! Paula is a lovely lady and prepared and served a lovely breakfast. Great location for easy drive to Belfast.
This is a beautiful BnB in Monaghan Town. I specifically wanted a place in Monaghan and there was little vacancy for the dates I wanted. I lucked out with this booking. The hosts are just lovely and the included breakfast is excellent. Easy walking distance to Town Center. The host family is very accommodating and check-in is easy to arrange with a bit of communication with the hosts.
Great central location in Letterkenny. A very comfortable location to stay in.
Also, within walking distance of the entire town.
Be aware, that if you travel by car, then you need to pay for on-street parking. Just download a free app to your smartphone called: 'Monaghan eParking' - register your car and you can pay by CC, or Google Pay. Very cheap also €2. for 4 hours!
The staff went above and beyond for us. The place was immaculate. We stayed in the diamond suite and it could not have been any more perfect. There were 2 staff that were outstanding and that was Liz and Connor they were an absolute credit to the hotel they made our stay that extra bit more amazing.
Room was fine, as expected. Pool grand. Sauna & Jacuzzi looks out onto pool which was a bit weird as kids were doing their lessons and parents there too. Steam room great. Breakfast was fine, thumbs up for the potato bread. Taxi into town. All in all fine. Staff excellent.
Our second stay here at this gorgeous hotel! Right in the heart of Monaghan Town. Best food and hospitality for families in Monaghan. Friendly staff and a nice bar serving delicious cocktails. The Diamond Suite has a fab view of the town.
The properly location was good for us… approximately 10 to 15 minutes to Monaghan town. We were able to cater for ourselves with a kettle and microwave and the was a range of utensils available. The facility was homely and clean.
The owners were lovely even offered us a lift into town. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was so powerful and the breakfast was first class. A great place to stay and close to everything.
great location not far from Monaghan town. very homely and welcoming. our host Liz was just fantastic. She’s a lovely person and has loads of knowledge of the local area.
