Kenmare is a charming, small Irish town.
Kenmare is a charming, small Irish town. We loved walking through the streets with many shops, pubs and restaurants. Both Holy Cross and St. Patrick's churches are worth a visit.
Kenmare is a perfect base for driving the Ring of Kerry and visiting Killarney National Park.
We had a fabulous dinner at The Coachman's pub, sitting outside on a pleasant October evening but there are many other dining options too.

Great base for both the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara.
Great base for both the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. Many restaurants but several were fully booked. Live music in a few even on weeknights. Free parking and toilets across from the church.
We had an amazing visit. My husband and our grown daughters and sons -in- law stayed for two nights. Trish was incredibly helpful, providing local insight for day trips, restaurants, music etc. We loved sitting outside in the sun on the grass/ patio , after a long day of sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to family and friends. Terrific location- very close to downtown Kenmare, but also extremely convenient for Killarney National Park. We made a great choice.
The guesthouse is located right in the heart of Kenmare. Quick and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Easy to hop on the Ring of Kerry and many other adventures. Lucy the owner is amazing. she makes you feel like family and her breakfast is delicious with many wonderful hot options. The room we had was king bed that was very comfortable. Nice shower. It was very nicely appointed. Comfortable sitting chairs. The whole experience at Bridge Street Townhouse was delightful.
The location could not have been better. Central to everything in the town. The accommodation looks brand new. The rooms are directly above the restaurant. The restaurant's food was on par with any fine dining establishment I've ever eaten at in Dublin. The owner / chef could not have been more helpful or nice. He referred us to another restaurant in town the night he was closed and his recommendation was top notch as well. This is the only place to stay and to eat in Kenmare.
The breakfast was so good it was criminal. We had brown bread every day for almost a month in Ireland, but the homemade bread here beat them all. I was very tempted to just eat nothing but bread and skip the rest of the meal, it was that good. The room had nice beds and a very large bathroom, with plenty of storage area. It's an easy walk into town from here, and also a simple hike across a bridge to see the Stone Circle in Kenmare.
The property is located within 5 min walking distance from the center of the town of Kenmare. The room had a very nice view over the well taken care of garden. The host is very welcoming, friendly and nice. She gave us good tips about landscapes in the area and places to have good food. The internal design was very nice and everything was neat.
location is perfect - a quiet street just off the center of Kenmare. the apartment was sunny and spacious for 2 - would be fine for a third as well. We didn’t meet the owner as entry was by code. a discount was offered in the restaurant below and the staff there was very helpful and friendly t plus the breakfasts and lunches were great!
The B and B was very tastefully furnished with a large bedroom in a perfect location. We loved the small town of Kenmare. Breakfast choice was amazing, cooked to order and far exceeds bigger hotels. Lucy and her staff work very hard and we felt very comfortable and would not consider staying anywhere else should we re-visit Kenmare.
Ashfield is a wonderful B&B. Mary the host is very helpful, friendly and great local knowledge. The location is great, the room was beautiful, superbly maintained, the breakfast was incredible. Kenmare is wonderful town to visit and a great place to start the Ring of Kerry.
Really comfortable hotel just 5 mins walk from the town centre via a footpath that avoids the main road - ask at reception as it isn’t obvious. Excellent breakfast choices. In addition to the buffet you can order from the menu for delicious freshly cooked breakfast items.
Exceptional stay. Irma is a friendly & very accommodating host.
Comfortable, well appointed rooms. Breakfast was A1: nice choose, great quality with fresh & home made produce.
7 min walk to Kenmare town centre. A real gem, will stay again!!
Located 2 km away from Kenmare village center, this b&b is charming and quiet. The room was spacious to fit our whole family, and the en-suite functioned properly.
The breakfast was great, with fresh food and great selection.
Location was amazing, only 2 min drive into Kenmare Town.
Breakfast was unreal, so much to choose from and freshly made and delicious
Honestly BEST B&B I've ever stayed in, better than some hotels
Everything was perfect in this hotel.
The bed, the huge breakfast, attention, views, close to the town.
The best experience in Ireland.
I totally recomend this place and I will stay here again.
Location was good. 3km to the centre of Kenmare town. It's on a bad road so cannot walk but that wasn't a problem for us. The house itself is private and in a lovely area.
