Friendly people ,lots of shops with character and individuality! Could do with more gastro pubs without spoiling the charm of this lovely town! Lots of things to do and see in Wexford especially in Gorey where there is a lovely town and lots of estates sites to visits seeped in history/ culture etc! Wexford is easy to get around on foot and by car! Loved Enniscorthy Castle well worth a visit! The seal sanctuary in Courtown is also well worth a visit!

We went to Wexford for the annual Opera Festival. The Opera House is delightful. Wexford itself is a vibrant place with lots of independent shops and restaurants and an interesting history dating back to Viking times. Of particular note was a restaurant called Jaspers (booking essential) in the Crown Quarter.
Lots of parking facilities and a compact town so easy to walk round.

Wexford is a beautiful harbour town with a great mix of shops. Lots of bars, which have plenty of live music each night, including 'Trad Nights' with traditional Irish music, also lots of eateries, sights to see, art galleries and a National Opera House. The twin churches are very pretty, make for a beautiful photograph from a distance and are both worth a look inside to make comparisons. It's only a short walk between the two. The short drive over Wexford Bridge towards Ferrybank takes you to the beach where the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan was filmed and in the other direction towards Rosslare, if you drive past Kelly's resort Hotel and keep on going and going along the little peninsula, there is a very interesting Lifeboat Memorial to be seen which looks over towards Wexford itself.

Wexford was just a stopover for us on the way to other places. We arrived at night and left in the morning. I think a day or two would have been good to explore, but we simply didn’t have time this trip.

This is our second time in wexford and unfortunately everytime we have been there it was raining heavily.
The buildings look dreary in bad weather. People we met were very friendly and helpful and we liked that its a walkable town.

Host is awesome ; very accommodating.
Host is awesome ; very accommodating. Location is excellent with easy walking access to shops, restaurants, bars and a walking pier.
Also I played golf at three high ranked golf clubs with lovely views of the Irish Sea.
Perfect location to spend two separate nights after an evening arrival at Rosslare and also the night before an early departure (07.00). Rosslare is 18 mins away.
Comfortable, clean, quiet and a lovely Irish breakfast on the first night.. We were given sandwiches, crisps, fruit, and biscuits as we felt it was too early for breakfast on our departure morning!
A local hotel provided adequate food in the evening but I'm sure a better meal could be found in Wexford just 5 mins away.
I had to book a suite as it was all that was available. It was very large and beautiful with great views.
The hotel is on a beautiful river and is walking distance to the Heritage Center where we spent a fun morning.
I was forced to used the swimming pool by my grand-daughter. I must say it is a great pool with exceptionally lovely views.
Breakfast was good.
All staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, Ferrycarrig is very nice hotel in a beautiful location.
Selfishly reluctant to share this Gem of a place nestled a little over a stone's throw from the heart of Wexford town but would be unfair to not do so . What a fabulous overnight stay we had from the outset starting with the check in to the check out... Special little extras and touches.. attention to detail .. Breakfast. was delicious. I could go on... Paul & Patrycja ..are amazing Hosts
The food was very nice. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Well decorated and it was quite in the mornings too which was good for getting a rest. Some of the staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and they serve you at your table. Taxi service is good if you want to get in and out of town. You will pay 10 euro per trip. Hotel is cheaper than staying in Wexford town.
What we loved most about the hotel was the clean rooms, wonderful & kind staff, and the pool area. The view of the sunset over the water was spectacular each evening from our room. It was also a quick walk (about five minutes) to the town that had many shops and restaurants. It was only about a 10-15 minute drive to Curracloe Beach which was absolutely beautiful.
The hotel was perfectly located on the water front in Wexford and ideal for exploring the town. The rooms are well done and the beds were comfy. Also, we had a meal in the bar and it was reasonably priced with great service and good quality. Good value for money and the staff were really friendly. Great view from the room.
Fantastic value for money. Very comfortable, clean, near the centre of wexford town (easy walking distance), recommended restaurants were brilliant, view from the hotel room of the garden was wonderful, breakfast was fantastic. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend.
Right in the middle of Wexford everything close by shops pubs Resturaunts great places too eat with a wide range of food to suite everyone 1st time staying in this hotel but will be back very soon great night life too in the huge bar with live music at the weekend
It was like being back in the USA 🇺🇸
Everything here was So Accommodating in terms of Meal Size, Hotel Size but so Massively Important ???
The Staff Here ….Are Always watching your Tables in the Restaurant catering for your Experience.
FULLY RECOMMEND.
The hotel has a good location, the staff are friendly and the check in and check out was easy.
The price is good, the bar under the hotel is also nice.
If you’re planning to go to Wexford Bugler Doyle’s is a good place to stay.
The seclusion. No hotel fuss. Excellent hosts. Beautiful grounds. Perfect base for touring the South East. Good restaurants nearby. Great motorway access. Close to Wexford town, Kilmore Quay and Johnstown Castle, all must-sees.
We were returning guests. As in previous stays we were warmly welcomed and treated like old friends.
Jenny on Reception is a great asset to the hotel and indeed, to Wexford. We look forward to returning for another stay.p
Hotel was close to thr Rosslare Harbor in which we had an early Ferry reservation. While breakfast looked good, it wasn't available until 7am which led to a quick grab and go as we had to be on the road by 7:10am.
Lovely friendly staff, the room I had was so clean, and I slept like a baby!!. Hotel was a great location, right in the centre of Wexford. Great selection for breakfast. I will be booking this hotel again.
The hotel was beautifully decorated and so clean. The food was fabulous, staff were extremely friendly and helpful - location great to Wexford town. Will definitely go back, wonderful time.
The hotel was a great find. The staff were great, the hotel was fresh and clean, the food was excellent and the facilities were fantastic. We had a really enjoyable stay and will be back.
Location is OK. Just outside wexford town. Hard to get taxi back to it. Might be good idea to have a car/bus belonging to hotel so people can go around the town or site seeing.
Apartments were lovely, ideal for families. The hotel itself was nice but service was very slow. Loads to do and see in Wexford. Would definitely recommend
