Woodview House is perfectly located in the heart of the lake district of south Mayo. We are 20 mins from both Castlebar and Westport and only 45 mins from Galway. We are located on the outskirts of Ballinrobe, across from the famous Ballinrobe Racecourse with unrivalled views of the Tourmakedy mountains and surrounding woods and fields. This is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of busy lives.
We are family of 4 who pridce ourselves on our customer loyalty and service excellence. We have many returning guests who have now become firm friends.
Known as "The Angling Capital of the West" famous for its brown trout fishing in both Lough Corrib and Lough Mask. The World Cup Trout Fly Fishing Championship takes place annually in August. Ballinrobe Racecourse is a 5 minute walk from our house and hosts 9 race meetings throughout the year. The Championship Parkland Golf Course of Ballinrobe is considered to be amongst one of the best in the country and is based in the historic estate of the 250 year old Cloonacastle. In the summer months Ballinrobe is the proud host of the Queen of the Lakes festival which sees the winner go forward to the Mayo Rose competition. The festival is a fun filled family event with live music and family street parties.
