Helen keeps an absolutely spotless place and is herself very welcoming and keen to help. She called up a local place to arrange dinner for us. There was a good space to keep our bikes and also dry our wet gear!

The house is conveniently located close to the village, but very quiet. It was warm on arrival, and the kids loved having a few channels to play with on the TV!
The beds were comfortable and had lovely duvets and blankets.
We'll be back again for sure!

From the 25th to the 27th, we enjoyed a pleasant 2-day stay here. The self-service continental breakfast option was a highlight, allowing us to help ourselves to tea, coffee, and biscuits throughout the day—an excellent touch. During the owner's visit to the house, we found him welcoming and received valuable advice on the Slieve League trek and tour. His recommendation to park our car in the upper car park rather than the lower one proved to be particularly helpful.

So underrated, I would wholly recommend Ardara to anyone looking for friendly, kind locals in Donegal. It’s a quiet town in the middle of the west coast, perfect as a base for exploring Co. Donegal. Nancy’s Pub is great in the evenings; Sliabgh Liag Distillery is a must-visit and Eddie Doherty is a local celebrity with his weaving skills! Reasonably priced Donegal tweed products - much more affordable than the other shop in town. The Courthouse (in the Heritage Center) also does delicious breakfasts and baked goods. The only thing I’d be wary of is walking along the road - the drivers speed regardless of the time of day.

Easy to get around.
Easy to get around. Parking in free car parks or on the street.
Good base for touring Donegal.
Main hotel Nesbitt Arms are taking in Ukrainian refugees so will be closed to tourist accommodation.
The Corner House & other pubs are lively on a weekend night, so it can be noisy on the streets after hours.
Mostly good pub food available - very few restaurants.
Absolutely loved this little apartment in the centre of Ardara, shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. Apartment was spotless and we had a really comfortable stay the weather was amazing which made it all the better. In addition to the apartment there is also a communal seating area to chill out on those hot days and secure parking on the ground floor.
We used this as a base to travel about various parts of Donegal. We did not need to contact Margaret for anything as everything was just perfect.
Auntie B's is really exceptional. It is a bed and breakfast with impeccable standards all driven by Barbara who has hospitality running through her veins. Pride, great care, generosity and thoughtfulness are to the fore. Simple, bright, well-aired accommodation that is spotlessly clean and a breakfast cooked fresh to order by Barbara herself, and served by her lovely staff. A little gem with more to offer than a lot of hotels. Thank you Barbara for showing how it should be done.
The accommodation is extremely central with free on street parking. Aileen welcomed us to our lovely, clean homely room. We had full use of the kitchen facilities which included a coffee machine, kettle, fridge etc. Lots of food items were also given to us to enjoy over the course of our stay. The generosity and extra little touches meant a lot. We will 100% be back for another visit in the future.
Auntie B’s was very comfortable. Big room and comfortable beds. Barbara is so accommodating and makes sure you are totally taken care of. Very sweet hostess with an amazing staff. We will be back. We loved Ardara the people are so friendly and the talented musicians are amazing. Also visited the Silkie distillery. Very good tour.
Woodhill House is located just ‘outside’ of the town Adara. Our drive was 3 min into town for dinner. We were there in late winter/early spring. I’m sure the gardens are beautiful later in the season and into summer.
Our host John gave us several ideas for our adventures and was so friendly and welcoming.
Nice restaurant in the hotel. Not expensive. Quantities more than adequate. Quick and friendly service. Not exceptional but perfectly fine. If your intention is to explore the area by foot, not much to see. By car and within 15-20 miles, beautiful beaches and deserted, untouched areas.
The hotel is located right in the center of town. Thomas, the proprietor, was so kind and helpful. He even brought our son’s wet laundry to his home to dry it for us before we checked out! The self-serve breakfast was so plentiful! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
The property was ideally located for us to visit either Ardara or Killybegs for an evening meal. We opted to go to Ardara and our host recommended two venues which we both visited. The accommodation was spotless and our breakfast had a good range of options.
Corby House is in a great location, you can easily walk into Ardara. Arlene is a great host and was easy to contact, we also had a lovely meal in her Pantry too. Chinese take away & Nancy's gets the thumbs up too. It's a good base for exploring Donegal.
Above average hotel breakfast cooked to order with fresh quality ingredients.. Bed linen and towels crisp and inviting comfortable bed. Interesting Victorian house of fine proportions and ambiance eclectic art and ornaments. Gracious host.
Cosy and comfortable. Excellent central location in the heart of Ardara, a stone’s throw away from pubs and restaurants. Friendly and welcoming host, easily contactable. Good options for self-service continental breakfast.
Breakfast was wonderful. Both Irene and Marco were very accommodating and extremely helpful with points of interest in and around the Ardara, Co. Donegal area.
The accommodations were extremely clean and comfortable.
Great location for exploring County Donegal. Cottage felt like a home from home. Host greeted us on arrival and made sure we were happy with everything. Close enough to Ardara for all our supplies.
they have a daily rotating breakfast menu with life changing pancakes and other food to start your day. If you want a full service Irish B & B experience, this is it!
