Gorgeous hotel. Spa was amazing and the staff were all so welcoming and helpful
This beautiful and historic castle is set within 1,000 acres of woodland. On the banks of the River Moy, it boasts a restaurant made from the remains of a 17th-century Spanish galleon.

A architecturally quirky but very good, family-run hotel with interesting rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - especially Stephen the bar manager - and the evening dinner was superb with excellent food and service. Very comfortable and clean. All in all, an enjoyable experience.

The location was perfect for the areas we wanted to go sightseeing and the staff were accommodating and friendly. We had breakfast included and it was excellent in quality and quantity, we also chose to eat our evening meals there as it was such great value for money.
The room was very cosy, clean and perfect for downtime after travelling around Co. Mayo.

Very comfortable and all efforts made for an exceptional breakfast
Ballina is a friendly and very interesting town. There are many places of interest with interest boards and murals explaining about people and places. The Jackie Clarke Collection is well worth a visit, and it is free. You can read about many people and events in the town and surrounding area then go visit them. It is clear the War of Independence and the Civil War had huge effects upon the town and surrounding area.

Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants in this picturesque town on the river Moy. We can see why Jack Charlton loved the place. We enjoyed watching the anglers waste deep in the river fishing for salmon. We had dinner in the hotel on both evenings and the food was great.

A lovely town, with lots to see and do in the area, nice places to eat, close to many other nice places to visit, so a good base for the area. Get out and enjoy the music and arts, and its ambition to be the most climate friendly town.

Loved the shopping, the hotel and its location.
Would recommend Ballina for a break , people are lovely, Ballina Manor hotel was so friendly, staff could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble to them. Would definitely go back to Ballina again. Would also definitely go back to Ballina Manor hotel again.
Our hosts were wonderful. We had a long talk about our families, the economy, living and earning a living on a working dairy farm in County Mayo, raising children, immigration, how Ireland and Mayo are changing, agriculture policy and climate change, how EU climate policy affects farm management, and our shared family friendships. Seamus and Marcela are grand people, the food was very fine, their children took our teenager into the work of the farm, and we heard about local places most tourists would miss.
If your looking for an authentic irish stay without the frills but couldn't be more welcoming and real without giving up any amenities, this is the place. Eileen and Steven Mchale will make you feel at home and be attentive to any need without being intrusive. The location is rural, wild and beautiful Near to Ceide Fields, Downpatrick Head and Ballina

Breakfast was included and was delicious, lots of options and staff were very accommodating. River view rooms are gorgeous. Hotel was very clean and quiet even though we were right in the middle of the town. Easy to walk to shops, restaurants, etc. Restaurant on site at the hotel has great food. 5 star service. Will definitely be back.
Food was the best iv'e ever had at any hotel that iv'e stayed in and the staff were the nicest people iv'e ever dealt with.I'm only sorry i didn't book to stay longer instead of moving to different hotels around mayo as they were nowhere as nice or as inexpensive as this one.
The genuine welcoming friendly hospitality of our hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble.
The cosy, comfortable accommodation from which to view tracts of natural Co.Mayo scenery.
The generous breakfasts which set you up for a day of walking or touring.
The apartment's charm, comfort, and central location made it an ideal choice for exploring Ballina and its surroundings. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking a memorable and convenient stay in this beautiful part of Ireland.
Spotlessly clean house, comfortable bed linen, lots of space for everyone in our party of 5 adults. House equipped with everything needed for stay. Central location to tour Sligo and Mayo. Lots to see and do, places to eat and drink and shop.
Had the most amazing stay at The Woodlands. The hosts were beyond accommodating and made both my partner and I feel welcomed. To top it off you wake up to the most stunning view. I cannot wait to stay here again on my next trip to Ireland!
Nicola was lovely and responded promptly to all our questions.
The property was very clean and well equipped.
The location was practically placed for visiting Ballina town center.
The apartment was perfect for us. It had everything we needed and the towels and bed linen were all of high quality. The location was great, right in the heart of Ballina
