A friend and I were doing the West Atlantic Way, and needed to travel through Kilrush, on the way back to Shannon Airport. We only booked 48hrs beforehand, and arrived at Zoe around 6pm. The host came as soon as we rang him, and in addition to giving us the keys and some general information, he helped carry our luggage up to the family rooms on the top floor. The rooms were charmingly appointed and very clean (not always a given on this trip!). We were disappointed to hear the bistro was temporarily closed for evening meals, but relieved to hear we could get breakfast in the morning. And what a fantastic meal that was. Had I been the kind of person to photograph my food, this would have been very worthy of a post on any social media platform. Heavenly, home made black treacle bread, local butter, a delicious fresh fruit salad, perfect little freshly made pancakes (crisp on the outside and soft inside), with just the right texture of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages.
We couldn’t finish it all, so our hosts kindly boxed up the homemade croissants for us to snack on later…
The ambience and decor in the restaurant was lovely, and if I ever go back to Kilrush, I would definitely stay again.

I've spent the last seven years living out of hotels with work. I've never felt the need to leave a review in that time; I'm compelled to give my first.
There aren't enough stars!
Incredibly comfortable. Spotlessly clean and a wonderful host who pours probably the best pint in the world!
If you're visiting the West of Ireland, Buggles is a must.

Has lots cooking equipment, Toaster and Frying pan, saucepans, mugs, plates, cutlery, glasses all good condition...but air conductor above cooker...couldnt find how to turn it on or didnt work...so cooking fish and other smells linger.
Shower great, my father loved the floors and lightness, and the set up of the Apartment. TV's in both bedrooms and huge one in sitting room. Does have Wifi. Location was practical as round the corner to the shops and next to Aldi, parking opposite on the road. Plenty of clean bedding and towels in cupboards, beds comfortable. Recommend Coffey's Fish and chips in town, and the Alcohol shop almost next door is an Aladdins cave. The Health Food Shop stocks loads of great alternative products and staff knowledgeable. Even though we didnt see the owner he was available on the phone and very nice.
Ideally situated on the West Clare coastline, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Spanish Point Golf Club, this luxury 3-star hotel is situated just around the corner from the sandy beach

We ate in the bar both nights of our stay and the evening meals were lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Gorgeous view from our room and beach was a short walk.
Welcome to the Armada Hotel, the perfect retreat for you to relax after a day spent exploring the natural beauty of County Clare or from your adventures along the Wild Atlantic Way.

The food was excellent, but the main restaurant (I forget its name) was disappointing and too expensive.
