Wonderful place. Historic, clean. Super friendly owners. Made our trip. Highly recommend. Only a pity we didn't get chance to try the restaurant the owners own. Next time for definite we will.

The Hotel was Located very close within reach of everything in the city. A short walk upto grafton street. Trams are situated right outside, Temple bar wasn't far to walk to. Taxis are not too expensive either. We did't have breakfast there are plenty of places to get breakfast on your walk upto grafton street.
Location was excellent. It is really easy to get around Dun Laoghaire. There are lovely shops and restaurants in Dun Laoghaire. There is also a theatre and cinema. The walk down the Promenade all the way to the lighthouse is a must visit!! Teddy's icecream is a lovely treat afterwards, classic 99 icecream. The staff in the hotel were welcoming and helpful. Our room was tastefully decorated with all requirements met. Sumptuous breakfast. Beautiful spa and pool for R&R. Lovely lobby area to relax overlooking the sea. Really nice bar. Overall a really good vibe to the hotel.

We used it mainly as base to visit Dublin (it's 20-30 minutes by tram) but spent some time walking down the harbour, it's quite beautiful and you can see people learning sailing. There's some museums and monuments worth visiting (sadly we didn't have enough time), and good places to eat. Make sure you try the fish & chips by the waterside. We were actually there for their local St. Pat's parade and it was such a great time!

Dun laoghaire is a special place to me.
Dun laoghaire is a special place to me. My gran swam almost every day in sandy cove. I've raced ironman 70.3 also from sandy cove. And the pier is always a place of memories as my aunt also lived nearby. I learned to sail in the harbour on visits as a kid. The town has a lively lovely coastal vibe.

Hotels offers a wonderful Breakfast for 15 euros and standard Pub menu for dinner usually with a daily special. The Pub was first rate and has plenty of beverages to select from, I would suggest a pint of Guiness. Parking is adequate although a little tight for larger sedans. The rooms are very well kept and bathrooms are supplied well. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I plan to use this Hotel for future visits to the Dublin area.

It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area.
It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area. We had no view, so we couldn't really enjoy it. We were there for such a short time it was wasted on us. The room had a smell like sewer, but the beds were comfortable. The reservations desk seemed a little clueless.
The breakfast was really expensive, so we couldn't eat there and when i got recommendations for restaurants by the water, the reservationist lady only recommended one restaurant, Hardies, which was affiliated with the hotel. It was hard to get into and there were at least two other restaurants we could go to.

Lovely harbor town!
Lovely harbor town! Good public transport to/from, many restaurants and cafes, great views. We enjoyed walking along the harbor piers. We had great food at The Vanilla Pod, Gourmet Cafe, and Sushida! We used the DART to travel to Bray one day, went into Dublin and up to Howth other days. Wish we could have stayed longer!
The hotel was very pretty upon arrival. The lobby is grand and welcoming. We were excited to arrive for our last couple of nights in Ireland after driving around the whole country for 15 days. The breakfast was good - plenty of choices. A nice sea front walk is a block away (in front of the hotel) and was very pretty on the last night. There is a very nice bar/restaurant in the hotel. Parking is available and underground - the hotel will validate that for you.
Stayed two nights at Claremont House last week. Ideally located near DART and easy access to Dublin city centre. Short walk to beautiful Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove. Daniel, owner of Claremont, has his own restaurant close by called "Daniels" - what a gem! It's small and cozy but the food produced is all fresh and mouthwatering and something you would expect from a Michelin restaurant - can't recommend it highly enough!!
If you want to experience what Ireland once was, book a night in this mini period house. I liked it very much. The room has a character of bygone times. The owners keep everything clean and tidy. With a map I found it without any difficulty. It was only a short 4 minute walk from Glenageary Dart Station. I chose traditional breakfast which was filling and very tasty. I'm grateful for this lovely experience.
The location is great if you want to visit Dublin (bus and Dart station nearby). Shops, cafès, bars and cinema are very close. The beach is 10 min walking from the hotel. The room was nice and quiet. It was great to have our own bathroom and the shower was spacious. Mina was a great host. She left some biscuits, a kettle and some tea and coffee in our room. Great idea ! We'd love to come back !
Superb location. Close to some of the Dublins most popular swimming spots and walking routes. 20 minutes to the city center by the Dart train. Picturesque views from the windows. Lovely homely atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Definitely book this place if big busy hotels are not your thing and if you love the sea. My family will be returning here on their next trip to Dublin.
I booked a room with a sea view which was fantastic. You can see both the west pier and east pier too. At night it looks great. Room was quite spacious for me with tea and coffee making facilities. Food was very tasty too. In general hotel is quite pricey but I think worth the money considering it is in Dun Laoghaire. Would stay there again for sure.
Lovely property in a nice quiet location
Very easy check in and good communication from hosts before regarding location and parking etc
Easy walk to DART to get into Dublin with trains running regularly and close to ferry port too
Spacious comfortable room with en suite bathroom
Extremely clean
Nice breakfast
Great set up with bar/restaurant close to reception and pool area/car park underground level very practical.
Staff are very good very accommodating. Clean hotel with spacious rooms and comfortable beds - essential for an insomniac! Will come back again.
Thank you to the friendly staff.
The leisure centre was surprisingly good. Pool and dressing rooms clean, modern and spacious. Very well equipped gym.
Family room excellent lay out and very spacious. Fabulous shower with great water pressure.
Lovely southside location, convenient to Dun Laoghaire and Killiney.
Staff welcoming and efficient, from person on door to reception and Parlour bar. Free parking. Comfortable bed. Handy to get DART into Dublin centre. Public areas very comfortable and nice not to feel confined to room.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful and is in the center of the waterfront. The grounds on a sunny day are delightful! It's an easy walk to everywhere.
A fantastic hotel! Everything about it was wonderful - the bar, the decor, the staff, the location! I will absolutely be recommending it and cannot wait to return.
