It was a staging post for us but is a very pleasant area. The West coast is so beautiful and this area is no different. I would say perhaps more family friendly as beach was big and sea easy to swim in

We went for a sea view suite which was a little extra but worth it. The room was fantastic with a bath in the middle of the room and a fabulous view out to sea. A four poster bed and a small living area with a electric fire. Along with this the room had a separate bath and shower room, a separate WC and a small walk in wardrobe. The hotel itself was lovely and the food was great. I would stay here again anytime and would still pay the little extra for such a lovely room.

This is a special corner of the world.
This is a special corner of the world. The scenery is breathtaking, the beach walks are invigorating and the locals are friendly and helpful. There are a few lovely places to eat, I recommend the Coast Hotel, its pizza is delicious! Also the Armada Hotel is fab!! The eateries there are both delicious, and the quality of food served is second to none. We adore Spanish Point and are always delighted to arrive and sad to leave.
Southwind bnb is cozy, welcoming, and comfortable. Evelyn was a wonderful host and added immensely to the pleasantness of the stay. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were fluffy, and the whole house was very clean. We enjoyed breakfast very much. Tea and coffee supplies and water were available in our room. The house is walking distance to the beach, a trail, the Armada Hotel, and a pizza restaurant. It’s driving distance from restaurants in the village and a grocery store.
While staying around Clare we booked SPH , it is a great hotel with very comfortable bed, fab shower & very tasty breakfast with great choice & if lucky enough you get to enjoy the outside sunshine with a glass of wine or cup of coffee. The Armada across the road is doing great things for Spanish point and the area with Catch their takeaway food service which sometimes comes with music & sunshine if lucky enough . Thanks for a great stay.
Lahiffs is a stunning Guesthouse in a beautiful location in Spanish point. The owners were the nicest people who couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was great every morning with a great variety. You can walk to the beach in just a few minutes & there are lots of beautiful walks in the area also. Unbelievable value also considering the location. We highly recommended staying in Lahiffs Bay view guesthouse & we can't wait to return
Coast Lodge was busy during our stay, there was a great buzz and atmosphere about the place. The family room was very spacious, clean and lots of storage. Breakfast was tasty. Any staff members we encountered were friendly, helpful and polite. Ideal location directly across from Spanish Point beach, weather was glorious which was a plus. We will be back.
We absolutely loved our stay here, the pool table, darts and board games kept the kids busy. Beds were super comfortable and in a great location for exploring Cliffs of Moher, Spanish Point beach, Lahinch, Doolin Cave etc! Would definitely recommend and already looking forward to returning!
The host was such a delightful person and made us feel at home right away, she helped us with everything and made our stay wonderful. The breakfast was really good and the view from our window was amazing. If you go to Spanish Point, Southwind is highly reccomended.
The hotel is set on the shores of the Atlantic at Spanish Point, with views of the beach and south Clare. The room was spacious, bright and clean. The breakfast dining room feels like you are dining on the beach. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional.
Amazing night at Armada House. Facility and staff were both wonderful. We departed the hotel or house and the house was so cute. A quaint comfortable night with exceptional staff and beautiful views. Location was the perfect stop between the cliffs and cork!
Excellent location - booked as a group to stay when we were attending a wedding in the Armada Hotel, accommodation is right across the road from this hotel so easy to walk to, excellent price in comparison to the hotel, facilities for cooking also available
Unique property! Our family loved all the games and activities on the first floor. Sleeping area upstairs was spacious, clean and tasteful. Owner was very responsive and a great host. Great location close to Spanish Point and the Cliffs of Moher.
The room was exceptionally spacious with two sofas and coffee table that was handy for enjoying room service from in-house restaurant. Breakfast was included and adequate. The ocean front location was great for walking the beach.
The Barker's were very accommodating for my father and I. They were able to book us a dinner reservation and make a lot of great suggestions on where to go next in our trip. Recommended for anyone traveling through Spanish point!
The cottage was cosy, comfortable and clean with every amenity provided. We were a 5 minute walk from the most beautiful beach and next door to The Armada Hotel. We enjoyed our trip so much, we're already planning a return one!
Gorgeous hotel with the highlight being the service. Laura in particular was extremely helpful! Would highly recommend and come back for the staff alone!
