Barbara is one of the kindest people we've ever met. She went above and beyond, even offered to give us a ride and gave us umbrellas. The room was very clean and comfortable as was the kitchenette frequently restocked with water bottles and snack bars. The continental breakfasts were tasty and fresh - perfect way to start the day. We would definitely love to come back.

Second time I've stayed here and would happily stay again. Lovely tea and ginger cake on arrival, comfy bed for the night and a great breakfast before heading out to do the Tour de Beara cycle.

I can't recommend La Mirage highly enough. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect and had fabulous views over Bantry Bay. There were lots of extra toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities which even included chocolate and a selection of herbal teas. The whole place was spotless. The bed was very comfortable with plenty extra pillows etc if needed. Breakfast was truly fit for a King! As well as fresh fruit and orange juice there was a variety of cereals. This was followed by a choice of cooked breakfast which included scrambled egg with smoked salmon as well as the usual "Full Irish" All freshly cooked to perfection. This was accompanied by a selection of toast, homemade brown bread and scones. Overall it is a place I definitely intend staying again. A must for anyone in the Bantry area. You won't be disappointed.

Barry was super nice on arrival and showed us around. He allowed us to store our bikes in the house..since we needed to leave at 5am in the morning he showed us all the food we could have and had stuff prepared for us in the morning. The BnB is in a perfect location and there is free parking outside.
